:awkney: lets face it it wasnt a succes deal with it album is great i love the music (it has its flaws (not everything can be the fame monster ( :hor:)) like it has some fillers but its a great album) her singles were a mess and i feel like she wasn't free with this album and some of the songs were forced (like she said, im not making this up)

born this way and the fame monster are ARTPOP  i agree shes being doing ARTPOP for her whole career

she wanted a grand electronic crazy celebration fr it but interscope didnt let her :awkney:

Really? she claimed that all of her ARTPOP work had been rushed and turned out not the way she wanted it to be, except for G.U.Y (maybe, who knows?)...

Its a success because she wore a few 'ARTPOP' dresses around London? that's why?

She failed to deliver the idea to the mainstream world, to the masses, its ARTPOP, pop stands for popular which we all know how that turned out to be :ohwell:

Plus, she said that the BTWB was chapter one in her career, and next thing you know her next era is a homage to her past career, to me it looks like she ran out of concepts.

agree with you, i imagined the ARTPOP era very differently that it was, it left for me a unfinished and rushed feeling. it would have been better if Gaga would have go hard with her original ideas. it was missing a main line

So the era was a success because Gaga is interested in the idea?

I think for the era to be a success, she would have to succeed at getting other people interested in it too. I'm not saying the era was a failure, but you provided no proof that it had any impact.

ARTPOP was not a success. It's a failure, but she can recover from it if she plays her cards right. She's talented enough to.

Her success isn't measured in sales. That is not what Gaga defines as HER vision of success. Success to her is being happy, creating great music, and sharing that WITH HER FANS, NOT the general public.

The only failure here is flop fans and chartmonsters  :ohwell:  :later:

That's very well-written and exactly what I think ARTPOP is all about too. I appreciate the concept, but I'm not a big fan of the album musically.

Im sorry but I don't think ARTPOP was a success. The potential was 90% of the time there. I don't think things like Stache would've been a good radio-friendly album, which used to be what ARTPOP was. For an album to be successful, it needs to be approved by the GP, and songs like Stache wouldn't've been. I feel like what ARTPOP is now is a great concept that was applied at the wrong period of time. If she did it two years ago it would've been brand new and no one would've expected it. If she promoted it 3x more it would've done better. I think that she has set the bar so high for herself that what we think isn't a success is because she has been on top of the charts so many times before.

I don't see why it matters if the ARTPOP era was a success or not. With each thread like this I see, I care less about how successful Gaga is. I love the music ARTPOP provided and that is all I care about these days. I can't wait to see all of the arguments that ensue.

Because clearly she's soooo satisfied with a rushed material and a flop ass app that she had high expectations for.

And clearly she believed the album will smash.

"I believe in this album more than anything we've done in the last 5 years"

"every song has been designed to be a hit"

or even worse, retweeting tweets telling the little monsters to break the iTunes record when Applause was released.

or "I'm an albums artist" in comparison to Katy Perry, and didn't Prism double ARTPOP's sales?

:awkney: dont be delusional u know she isnt happy with this era either, she wasnt free enough , it was all forced, APPLAUSE  was forced, she wanted more music like aura (partynauseous and more rave songs) and she ended up with Jewels N' Drugs and fashion :awkney:

P.s dont really care about how it sells im just pissed that she couldnt do what she wanted

Do you having anything nice to say at all? Like everything you post is to talk sh*t about ARTPOP. Give it some rest.

Nooooooooooo

For an album to be successful it needs to have great music. Gaga delivered. I MUUUCCCHHH rather have her make an album as great as ARTPOP and have fake-fans say it flopped than have her bend to your vision of "success" and make a radio-friendly bubblegum pop album like Prism just to sell mechanical industrialized pop music for children.

rant over good day  :later:
