i really hate how this fanbase always like to bring down the atmosphere.

No lies told. I hate when people try to suck the fun out of something because they are not looking forward to. I mean you don't have to like jazz or the idea of her doing a jazz album but let people enjoy themselves.

I'm sure the vocals will be great, but I'm not sure how much attention the GP will pay to it. Remember the Tony Bennett fans, while they buy albums, aren't the most active in the media...  :awkney:  Regardless, though, it will remind people of her talent and help set the stage for a comeback era.

I mean ppl love electronic, futuristic and high fashion- freak vocalist who is Gaga,

There are far far more people out there who don't like electronic music than those who do.

Since the Born This Way album, I've been interested in anything she does, so I will be listening to this album. I don't expect it to be huge, but if she gets good praise for her talents that's cool. Jazz really isn't my thing, but if I like what I hear I will buy the album. I think a Grammy win is a possibility, I know she would like one (and may be aiming for one), in which case I hope she gets it (or is at least nominated). But as I don't need charts or the GP to validate my taste in music, I never give a thought to what they think, I just hope she puts out a good album that will be recognized as such in the music industry. I would like encouragement for her to explore her artistry, but if she decides she wants to do another light pop album, that's cool too. Life's to short not to explore or have fun.

By the way, wasn't Christina's Back To Basics heavy on Jazz-Pop? Didn't it do well?

I don't give two hoots about what C2C might sell, and don't see it performing better than any other jazz album might, commercially. I'm just hyped for the album because I've been waiting for Gaga to do something stripped back and show off her vocals. She blows me away when she sings jazz songs...

I'm genuinely excited for the album. A jazz album from Gaga is something I will absolutely cherish. It is so refreshing and will be an incredible opportunity for her to showcase her talents as a vocalist. I'll be buying the album and I'll be frequenting these forums even if C2C and her next album turn out like Bionic and Lotus anyway.

Obviously the critics are going to suck her metaphorical dick on this album though :toofunny:

ARTPOP is a flop because that makes for a good story. The biggest star on the planet and now she is a complete flop! Katy Perry is the new queen of pop and Gaga is over! She sold 1 million copies of Born This Way in the first week, there was no way she could achieve that hype again. In retrospect it is obvious that they would talk about her downfall.

It doesn't make a good story to start trashing Jazz legend Tony Bennett. The most logical place for them to go is to praise the album. I can see the headlines already "Gaga's most shocking album yet! An album of Jazz standards!". Critics will basically jizz themselves over the prospect of Gaga showcasing herself as a pure Jazz vocalist.

It also becomes a lot harder in the future for them to label Gaga as a flop. Her sales will seem more consistent from now on. C2C will likely reach #1. Then you have a situation where Gaga's past 3 albums have reached #1. It becomes a lot harder to dismiss her as a fad or as "over" once she has achieved a feat like that.

I'm hyped because of new material from her.

And sorry to tell: Jazz Gaga make me happy, a lot happy.

I'm here for the music.

BTW will always be in a special place. I nevere loved The Fame. Loved more the Monster edition.

ARTPOP is great. Party music and great song such ARTPOP or Sexxx Dreams. Not to mention VENUS! It's her first self produced song!

I get that people want to shut up some madonna fan but here's a news: she will be bashed until her death.

I really do not care about charts, and I usually listen to songs off te charts because there are some many gifted musicians out there.

It's great to see blooming someone and have success but it's better to have connections with them.

I think C2C will certainly open some people's eyes and ears.  "Orange Colored Sky" and "The Lady is a Tramp" laid the foundation for this album.  I know several jazz fans, and they were quite impressed with her voice.  Also, I  feel being paired with an iconic legend like Tony Bennet will give her instant credibility.  I will be interested to see which record label it will be released under, I assume Tony Bennet's.

I am not afraid for her work, I'm afraid for her strategy for jazz album. Just do not say that the money - it's bad. Any project can not live without financial costs.

And yet tony has somehow managed a 60 year career.
