gagas "ARTFLOP"

Compared to her past albums which were mega successful, it's a flop :awkney:

A flop isn't measured by previous successes :awkney: a flop is something like bionic, lotus, or britney jean. ARTPOP isn't a flop.

I love how Gaga's acknowledging that many people think ARTPOP is a flop (and use the term ARTFLOP) but she clearly doesn't give a sh*t. Love this woman

Really? What happened to staying "above haters" and "ignoring them" and "preaching kindness" as she always tells her fans? She then goes responding to haters in passive aggressive ways (paris hilton, ohnotheydidnt, etc.)

Gaga is a walking contradiction, something I think we all know! I'm just glad she's acknowledged how many fans/critics/haters see ARTPOP and given a simple, sassy reply to months and months of negative press. It must take it's toll, I mean it's still a #1 album at the end of the day. If it were me being scrutinised as harshly as she is I'd have totally flown off the handle by now, you can't not take it personally when someone discredits your work.

I so wish she'd stop bringing up this kind of negativity. It just shows that it affects her because she feels the need to respond to it. :ohno: Rise above, Gaga.

Do you mean Perez Hilton? If so, she has every right to call him out. It's clear that his hate for her borders on harassment at times.

As for ONTD and even this, she is still perfectly justified. Being kind (which she is) doesn't mean letting everyone walk all over you. People can only ignore so much. She is still an excellent example of generally staying above haters and being an all-around wonderful person, but she's also a human being.

If she didn't give a f***k, she wouldn't even mention it…. ….she's clearly pissed off that people call her ARTPOP album ArtFlop…   She cares about sales, success and fame…deal with it….    Ã¢â‚¬¦.and I think it's absolutely ok for a popstar/artist to care about sales and success: if you don't sell albums, your label won't invest on you and on promotion; if you don't sell concert tickets, LiveNation won't invest much money on your tour…therefore NO big production….no wonder why ArtRave is clearly a downsized production compared to BTWball tour or MDNA tour …she works in the showbiz and she perfectly knows how things work

I think she referred to "ARTFLOP" not because of low success, but because many were denying in the success of the concept. She explained what ARTPOP means prior to writing this post. So she's like ARTFLOP my ðss, the concept works!

And creative rebellion is suited with ART in POP music, because the industry does not want art to be there, but she is rebellious and teaches art on the pop platform
