Ziva 193
I think Starstruck could have done well
Koala 3
I'm sorry but Dance In The Dark would have done so bad. I mean, she released Alejandro instead that was a big hit but besides the fanbase people don't really like DITD. Don't come to me because of the DITD hate :megaflop:

Koala 3
DITD did better than G.U.Y. and had been nominated for a Grammy, it wasn't just a fan favourite Charting better than G.U.Y. is not really difficult hahahaha. I mean, DITD would have been like TEOG or Yoü and I, it's a good song but not made for being a hit like Alejandro or Bad Romance
destructivelove 563
Forgot you can't have an opinion on this site without getting "wrecked". Keep forgetting every little manager is THE ONLY little manager in their minds :awkney:
Miranda Sings 1,705
Charting better than G.U.Y. is not really difficult hahahaha. I mean, DITD would have been like TEOG or Yoü and I, it's a good song but not made for being a hit like Alejandro or Bad Romance Excuse you, both of those songs were hits. TEOG charted better than Alejandro Literally judas and you and I wrecked her popularity GP wise and took away the dance music appeal she had. IMO the most horrible single choices she could have made (even tho judas vid slays). So no...it was not a "good thing" that her single choices didn't get picked. Because marry the night would have had more chance of being a hit after born this way, then Scheibe woulda SLAYED, and edge of glory finishing off the era would have been AMAZING (since it basically was the last memorable part to the GP anyways) cause it would have kept her position of like-ability with non-stans and she woulda have probably ridden the hype off of it with the ORIGINAL concept for ARTPOP. WHICH she woulda had more creative control to release had the previous two single era's (and judas's) not completely been forgettable You and I didn't "wreck" her popularity at all. The song is a hit. I don't know why everyone is so confident in Scheiße's ability to slay. It has a weird, fake german into, a vulgar title, and dark, industrial beats in a time known for squeaky clean pop. It may have smashed, but it also might have flopped hard. If it was what Gaga wanted, I would've been happy. But I hate that everyone here talks about it like it would've gone #1 for 14 weeks and saved Gaga from her "unsuccessful" era. Antidote 95
I don't think DIDT was Gaga's first choice, as far as I remember she said that Alejandro was her favourite song from TFM
LStephens11 15
This. Each Gaga album has its song that could have been a great and successful single : The Fame : Starstruck The Fame Monster : Dance In The Dark BTW : ScheiBe ARTPOP : Gypsy Concerning DWUW : I won't change my mind, this is a great single. Maybe the most radio friendly song from ARTPOP. The GP and radios loved it. If the promo would have been well done (an official video + more performances) it could have been a huge hit in Gaga's discography ! Anyway, that's still a hit.. I read that as p o r n o instead of promo Literally judas and you and I wrecked her popularity GP wise and took away the dance music appeal she had. IMO the most horrible single choices she could have made (even tho judas vid slays). So no...it was not a "good thing" that her single choices didn't get picked. WHICH she woulda had more creative control to release had the previous two single era's (and judas's) not completely been forgettable This is the silliest thing I have ever read in my life. You and I was phenomenal, showed a totally different side to Gaga and her artistry and I have never met a person in my life who didn't like the song anywhere I have gone. Poor choice of words there, especially seeing as that Judas and You and I were Top 10 hits in the United States. Marry the Night would've flopped no matter when she released it because it just isn't a good song - the video was too long and drawn out and the song is exhausting. "Wrecked her popularity" get real man. Excuse you, both of those songs were hits. TEOG charted better than Alejandro You and I didn't "wreck" her popularity at all. The song is a hit. I don't know why everyone is so confident in Scheiße's ability to slay. It has a weird, fake german into, a vulgar title, and dark, industrial beats in a time known for squeaky clean pop. But I hate that everyone here talks about it like it would've gone #1 for 14 weeks and saved Gaga from her "unsuccessful" era. Although Scheiße is a bop and the music visual would've been killer, I agree completely.
Koala 3
Excuse you, both of those songs were hits. TEOG charted better than Alejandro But as much as I love TEOG it is not a memorable song known by everyone
Miranda Sings 1,705
But as much as I love TEOG it is not a memorable song known by everyone Yes it is. Everyone I know knows and loves that song. It's one of her biggest hits.
Koala 3
Yes it is. Everyone I know knows and loves that song. It's one of her biggest hits. Whatever. Then, DITD would not do as good as TEOG. Happy?
GagaisHotAF 419
Honestly she should have released more singles because they had chances to do exceptionally well. Like Starstruk and Boys Boys Boys. Dance in The Dark and Monster. In Born This Way Timing different plus Scheisse and HML. Venus, Aura and Sexxx Dreams and Gypsy. Even if any flopped but the diversity of so many singles ahhh. Plus I think its a part of many artists' career that some songs see the light some don't. :) Starstruk would have been Gagas Dark Horse Probably on Grindr

Batwings 12,885
I don't understand why so many people like to drag The Edge of Glory and You and I so much. They were HUGE radio hits in the Southeast U.S. where I live. I still hear You and I played on the radio from time to time. Also, I'm probably in the minority on this, but I still think Venus should never have been scrapped in favor of DWUW. With a killer video, I'm pretty sure it would have slayed.
