MEDONER 1,676
What world are you living in that makes you think a song as experimental as Venus would be any sort of success? To bore the fans who are sick of it too? That's really sick Do What U Want was a near top ten hit. Applause was a safe choice. Judas was a risky option because it was a religious single near Easter with experimental lyrics but still went top ten because of everyone's thirst for Gaga. Just because it's a "ripoff of Bad Romance" like you say doesn't mean the intentions reflect how risky it actually was. Do What U Want destroyed ARTPOP era. And Judas was as risky as Poker Face being released after Just Dance
Koala 3
Venus would have done better than DWUW as the second single, a lot of people love Venus and it's not even a single
elixt 34
No more singles from ARTPOP I don't think.. I'd love one more but I don't think Gaga will put out any more :(
Gypsy Life 118,907
yeah because Judas wasn't made to be a copy of Bad Romance to ride its success at all right? No but keep living in your own delusional world.
Chic 20,830
Do What U Want destroyed ARTPOP era. And Judas was as risky as Poker Face being released after Just Dance Yes, the near top ten hit without a video destroyed the ARTPOP era. No, Gaga's end of the year depression, lack of a video release, disappearance for two months and then lack of promo before, during and after is what killed the era. Judas itself was not a safe single, it was safe-protected from the fact it was riding off the hype of Born This Way. If it, as a single, was so 'safe', why did it only go to #8 when TEOG was #3? Are you gonna tell me TEOG was a risky experimental anthem?

Azor Ahai 18,861
What world are you living in that makes you think a song as experimental as Venus would be any sort of success? To bore the fans who are sick of it too? That's really sick Whzt are you even talking about Venus doesnt bore fans and its actually a fan favorite! Dwuw and its controversy and video destroyed this era ... Do What U Want was a near top ten hit. Applause was a safe choice. Judas was a risky option because it was a religious single near Easter with experimental lyrics but still went top ten because of everyone's thirst for Gaga. Just because it's a "ripoff of Bad Romance" like you say doesn't mean the intentions reflect how risky it actually was.
holy scheisse 22,274
its garden panty not grab your panties but anyway seriously arent we over these threads how many times can somebody try to pitch a song as a single based on "evidence" that is essentially just them reiterating their own opinions
Chic 20,830
G.U.Y was a fan favorite and look where that got us. Venus will flop hard and some fans are so sick of hearing about that song by now. DWUW had no controversy because the video was never released. What worldwide scandal are you implying to have occurred that fractured the ARTPOP era? Are people not buying G.U.Y because they're angry at Gaga for DWUW? Are you saying Venus is going to have any chance of success? Once again,
Gagz 2,579
I'm going to need like 4 more singles, actually.
