In spanish you can use it (the literal translation) without any bad intention, just as an expresion in the context I used it (of course if I call someone personaly that they are going to be offended, but I wasn't insulting anyone, just trying to make a difference). Yeah I assumed that a bit after posting, I should've edited it because I don't want to make anyone feel bad not least when you obviously didn't mean anything by it, your English is amazing btw In an ironic coincidence, gaga herself was ripped apart for using that word, in a Madonna related context too, ;) but she should've been aware of the connotations of the word. It is perfectly fine to rectify an innocent mistake. But Gaga took it too far. Not everybody who doesn't like Gaga is a Madonna fan. It's childish and most importantly obviously incorrect. Have you had a look at ONTD? It's not a Madonna fansite, there were plenty of other people from other stanbases there attacking Gaga too. And just as many people attack Madonna in Madonna posts too. Everybody says mean/inappropriate things. Most of us are not in the public eye, so it doesn't matter. Gaga is.
