People thought something exciting and scandalous would be at the forefront of this performance from the way they were hyping it, but it's just a safe medley. It's very interesting that she continues with the whole concept of the album by translating it into a performance. But it's not the "can't miss" performance that the people around her are saying it will be. Ugh I'm so jealous you got to see the performance already. I clearly said that the performance may or may not be interesting as it depends on when it airs, but the concept simply isn't to me. I have my opinion and I formulated it within the range of the information we were given. I know that much and that is the extent to which I am judging it. The performance could be absolutely amazing but the concept itself bores me. If you have anything you'd like to tell me about how the base concept extends beyond a medley of songs from her self-titled album somewhere hidden in the article, then I would love to hear it. Otherwise, I will be "pressed" and criticize all I want. I love how some biased Beyoncé worshippers in here like to judge the performance being 'huge' without knowing sh*t about it. There is nothing more to learn about the concept. It is the bones while the flesh is the performance. I said multiple times that the performance could be awful or great or even excellent, I just don't think the concept is that interesting Speaking of concepts, you don't seem to be capable of understanding this Also, I've never managed to have a constructive conversation with a Beyoncé fan because, rather than discussing the highs and lows of her as an artist, as I have said both many times before, they are absolutely, without a doubt, airtight set on seeing her as this image of perfection, to the point where they try to justify that they aren't to continue viewing her as the next messiah when she, as is with every artist, is both flawed and amazing. I love Beyoncé, I love her music, I love her ideas...all except for this concept. Not the performance, that hasn't aired yet. But the concept, as this thread is about. Thanks for labeling me a hater though when I've stated multiple times that I love her as an artist and think she and her ideas are brilliant.
