Are the awkward attempts to convert people's opinion (this is aimed at both sides) not a bit tiring at this stage then, especially considering the ceasefire not a bit pointless then? Why not change the topic to something more positive, like a discussion on how lasting peace will be brought about. That might be overly idealistic outside the realms of reality, but still, better than focussing on negatives... Ceasefire ends today, Monday at midnight. There seems to be no progress.. Legal parties in Lebanon's parliament are blacklisted as terror organizations in the west and are responsible for mass killing of Israelis by terror acts and rockets firing. It doesn't mean a few ISIS terrorists are fighting at the borders with the Lebanese military that ISIS invaded us. And why the hell bring that up? 5. Frankly, in 2006 I was 7. No demeaning comments. No belittling. No "delusional" prognosis based on nothing more than the difference of opinion. If you find disagreement in an argument, pull apart the issue without attacking the one it comes from. Claim to be unbiased and intelligent? Prove it by carrying on a civil debate that only centers around the issues and support for your points. Real debates are great learning experiences to understand where other people are coming from. To dissolve in senseless verbal attacks, only betrays the integrity of the debate and leaves you with the awful realization that you are sitting there, getting no where, wasting your time. Without learning, understanding, and growing, how can we hope for anything good from discussing tragedies like this? Stand in the light, cast your shadow. Never said so. What does justify the attack are Hezbollah's taunts. 2. Hezbollah is the 2nd biggest party in Lebanon. The biggest, Amal, was involved with the PLO terror militias for years. Israel has the right to chase after anyone who is threatening its security, including terrorists. Hezbollah killed 5 Israeli soldiers patrolling the border and kidnapped 2 of them. The Lebanese government is responsible for any attack taking place from its territories and Israel will take any measurs to defend itself against those. 3. Israel has no problems with the Lebanese people. In fact, many were going daily into Israel to work till the late 70's, when the PLO took over south Lebanon and started provoking Israel. The problem started right after the Palestinians were expelled from Jordan and relocated to Lebanon. 4. The ISIS captured the city of Arsal. You suggested (correct me if I'm wrong) that Israel is sending hands into Lenbanon's interior issues. Take a look over who really is thereating your country. 5. Frankly, in 2006 I was 11. At 11, when you're getting fired by rockets for whole nights and you're forced to listen to the rockets coming and going and running for a shelter, I couldn't care less about politics, I'd just know that there's some evil country killing people. You know why? Because I was 7, and I was SCARED. Now I'm more mature and more reasonable and I'm not under attack and bombs. I care about lives of Israeli people but I don't there's any ideal solution. And I don't support hizbollah one bit but again, when the **** did it says that it wishes to kill all non-muslim? 60% of lebanon is Christian sis.
