lego 44,165
Oh isn't ISIS going to get involved with this at some point? I was just talking about the conflict with my family and they brought up the issue that ISIS will get involved soon. xD No they won't, they are killing sunni muslims in Iraq, they don't fight Assad in Syria, they never cared about Palestinians, they would rather kill them too. That's what makes them suspicious. FreePalestine

Noam Zioni 1,201
Ah cool, hope you had fun. :) So I'm reading up about stuff etc. About the Palestian map of loss: didn't Israel win control over the West Bank and Gaza in 1967 and then returned it to Palestians? It's so sad both sides couldn't just be satisfied with the way the state was separated for the Jews after WW2. :( I mean I get both sides... It's the Jewish homeland but was inhabited by Palestians for a thousand years or so. I know it's not practical but instead of fighting over land they could've just build a shared government and worked on their economy together? Dunno. :x It's pretty ridiculous the Hamas are hiding military supplied at civilian places in the hopes that Israel won't bomb it btw. Oh isn't ISIS going to get involved with this at some point? I was just talking about the conflict with my family and they brought up the issue that ISIS could get involved after they're done with their current conflict. xD That's funny because he thinks he knows me, and tells you things about me as "Noam is blindly believe his gov." and such things like that.. I know Arabic and I read some newspapers from Gaza.. He said that nothing was proven, while everything is proven, and everybody knows that, the Hamas killed and kidnapped those 3 children. The Hamas is hiding many of military supplements in public places as proven here: http://www.idfblog.com/operationgaza2014/#Weapons And I don't think ISIS will get involved :)

darkwolf 590
Thanks. <3 Do you have a link or website that explain the conflict in a simple way? Wikipedia is too confusing with way too much information and Google only shows results about recent events. We never learned anything about this in school (thank you the Netherlands) so I'm curious to know what it's really about. Sorry if I sound ignorant. http://www.ifamericansknew.org/history/

But before WW2 it was entirely a Palestinian state, right? I mean it's a pity they couldn't just both be satisfied with what they were given by the UN/UK. Of course it was a Palestinian state but the Jews heritage is from there as well many centuries ago. If the Palestinians hadn't attacked Israel after the division, Israel wouldn't have taken over those additional territories during the war. Although Israel fired the first shot (?) but they wouldn't have done that if everyone was just OK with the division. That's what I'm getting from what I've been reading up anyway. The region was called Palestine yes, but not as an independant country because most of the Arabic wolrd was under Ottoman rule, the Ottoman empire was huge and included most of north Africa+Middle east+Turkey, parts of Europe....After the Empire Lost in World War 1, Palestine was under British Mandate. Yes, Palestine is Holy for Jews, but so it is for Christians and Muslims. And about the division, why would the Arabs accept splitting their land 50/50 with people who illegally came from other countries? This is how they saw it. lucia4 0
That's what Zionism is about, right? That the Jews claim privilege to have their own independent state and it was given to them as some form of consolation from WW2? And yeah I know Palestine is also holy for Muslims. I dunno it's pretty complicated. They should've just created a shared government or something instead of splitting 50/50 where both parties lose access to half the of the holy sites. Someone should make a fictional novel or movie based on this. It's pretty interesting. Palestine has the worst representatives, though. They sound like terrorists. Zionism is about letting the Jews have a state in Israel. Palestine? Do you mean Gaza? I don't hunk it's holly for the Muslims. The holly places for the Muslims are: Mecca, AlMadina and Masjid Al-Aksa in Jerusalem, but the third one isn't officially holly. I read there are holy places for Muslims in Palestine (Palestine as in the entire area, not the area that is now considered Palestine) such as the Dome of the Rock (?) and some others. Can't remember exactly which ones. http://www.vox.com/2014/7/16/5904691/hamas-israel-gaza-11-things I think this is a pretty unbiased link for someone who wants to learn a thing or two about the conflict. I used Vox to learn about this too. :) This is also a great page: http://www.vox.com/cards/israel-palestine/jerusalem Fairly unbiased and very informative. Can't remember exactly which ones. Oh, ok :) the Dome of the Rock is Masjid Al Aksa :) Idk about other holly places for the Muslims in Israel.. And if you're talking about the whole land of "Palestine", you need to call it Israel, because that is what it is, and not Palestine..

I think for Islam, the whole city of jerusalem is Holy, http://www.religionfacts.com/islam/places.htm There are places that are holy to Christians to, like Bethlehem for example. It's not only between Muslims and Jews, there also christian Palestinians. But again, this conflict is not really a religious one.
