Israeli embassy warns Ireland will fall under Islamic influence

 

The Israeli embassy in Dublin has been slammed after grotesque images and warnings of an Islamic invasion of Ireland were posted on its Facebook page.

 

The images depicted the Molly Malone statue in Dublin wearing a burka and the embassy's Facebook page claimed that Ireland would be the next state to fall under Islamic influence. Israeli media reports have accused Ireland of being far too pro-Palestinian in the current Gaza conflict.

Images of the Mona Lisa in Paris wearing a niqab and carrying a rocket launcher also featured in the propaganda.

Other images posted on the Dublin embassy’s Facebook page included Michelangelo's David shown in Arab headgear and wired up as a suicide bomber with a warning to Italy and Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid shown holding a gun.

A spokesman for the Israeli embassy in Dublin has confirmed to the Irish Sun newspaper that the offensive images were posted from his embassy’s official social media accounts.

They have since been removed by Facebook and the report says Dublin was not the only city to come into the Israeli propaganda sights.

The Irish Sun reports that the Israel In Ireland Facebook and Twitter accounts have been blasted for sharing the series of controversial posts.

An embassy spokesman told the paper: “Yes they were sent from the official Facebook but they were taken down, I don’t know why.

“Often things get deleted for space reasons but it wasn’t taken down because of any complaints.â€

Sinn Fein foreign affairs spokesman Sean Crowe told the Irish Sun he was shocked by the latest images.

He said: “On one hand it’s childish and lacks maturity, but when you consider 1,050 people have been killed, it’s wrong to be making light of the situation,†he said referring to the Gaza conflict. Criticism of the Israeli invasion has been wide-spread and fervent in Ireland.

“This is such a sensitive time, you would think an embassy would treat it as such and would send out messages of reconciliation, not fan the flames.

“I can’t understand why anyone would take time to post stuff like this.â€

In photos and video: Tender farewell to Hebron boy shot dead by army

Thousands gathered shortly before afternoon prayers on Sunday in Fawwar refugee camp south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron to mourn the death of eleven-year-old Khalil Muhammad al-Anati.

Israeli soldiers shot Khalil with live ammunition outside his home that same morning on 10 August after forces invaded the camp. He was buried not far from his home that afternoon by thousands of friends, family and neighbors.

 

Witnesses say camp residents responded to the presence of soldiers by throwing stones but that the slain boy was not involved in the confrontation.

Muhammad Yusif, 21, was present when the boy was shot. He said Khalil was on an errand to buy something for his mother when an army jeep pulled up near his home and a soldier shot him in the back while he was attempting to hide.

Bystanders attempted to aid Khalil but were prevented by additional live fire.

“Every time someone went to get him, the soldiers would start shooting. We couldn’t reach him. When we were finally able to get to him, he had lost almost all of his blood,†Yusif said.

After the jeeps vacated the area, Khalil was taken in a private car to al-Ahli hospital in Hebron, where he was treated by Dr. Mohammed Baker Abu Snaina.

“Upon arrival to our emergency room, he had no heartbeat, no pulse and no muscular or neurological reflexes,†said Abu Snaina. “There was no active bleeding because he had already lost most of his blood.â€

The live bullet entered the lower right side of Khalil’s back and left an eight by five centimeter exit wound in his lower abdomen, exposing muscle and arteries. Doctors administered fluids before pronouncing Khalil dead shortly after arrival.

The Israeli army media desk declined to answer this reporter’s queries regarding the incident. But a few hours following the shooting, the Israeli military’s Twitter account stated in Hebrew its “regret†over the incident, promising an internal investigation.

 

Impunity

 

According to Amnesty International’s February 2014 report titled “Trigger Happy: Israel’s Use of Excessive Force in the West Bank,†Israeli authorities have consistently failed to carry out investigations into alleged crimes that satisfy international standards.

From September 2000 until June of last year, there were only sixteen military police investigations into the killings of Palestinian civilians by Israeli forces which led to indictments. None led to discharge from the military, according to Amnesty.

 

 

Amnesty describes “a harrowing pattern of unlawful killings and unwarranted injuries of Palestinian civilians by Israeli forces in the West Bank.â€

Last year a six-year-old boy lost an eye in Fawwar refugee camp after an Israeli soldier fired a steel-coated rubber bullet at him as the child was walking with his parents.

Please tell me the difference between saying using people as human shields and saying killing people? it's the godamn same thing, stop trying to twist the words.

Misleading=/= false . Those IDF clothes are obviously true, not only they are published in Haartz, Israeli press, but also the same thing happened several times. And it's not one person or two, but since their supervisors approve that, it's when it starts to get sickening. And there was also that IDF soldiers who was so pride of killing like 13 palestinian children or something like that.
