jxckk 959 Posted June 30, 2014 Share Posted June 30, 2014 i miss the "i dont give a f*ck" attitude, towards the end of 2013 with the depression she let everything get to her and began taking to social networks to whine about how people don't understand her which showed the media that they could easily get to her and bring her down. Beforehand, she didn't let such news stories annoy her and did whatever she wanted and didn't really care about the consequences. That attitude has now completely disappeared. i miss the mystery aswell, at this point thats gone because she has opened up in interviews too much that their is no mystery left. PopBitch 1,218 Posted June 30, 2014 Share Posted June 30, 2014 I believe the reason why ARTPOP is lackluster to many is not because of sales, but because she's appeared to have lost her drive and ambition that drew many if not most fans to her the last 3 albums. Do you miss Gaga's ambition? You are overthinking this. She's touring. It takes months to prepare and rehearse for a pop tour. She works hard. No one is focusing where Lady Gaga is 24/7. Whoever didn't buy ARTPOP is because they weren't into the music. Lana Del Rey dropped an album and barely did anything and it's selling. Gaga did plenty of promo right in the beginning to introduce the album. Among others, she did SNL, did X Factor. She had her own streaming VEVO presents artRave mini concert with the flying dress going worldwide and available for 48 hours and on iTunes. She had lots or press about it and was showcasing lots of new songs. Who gets that kind of press and a mini concert like that? Only the biggest do that. U2, etc. And it was tied into the Ryan Seacreast deal, a half hour release party going out to 150 Clear Channel stations. And all tied into ARTPOP dropping. Talk about hype and promo for the drop of her album. She did the historic closing of Roseland three nights in a row, did SXSW, did the VMA as the opening act, did Letterman on the Late Show. She performed on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, She introduced ARTPOP at the iTunes Fest in a big way performing lots of new songs,which is unheard of really. Usually there it's a few songs and then the old hits. Performed on Good Morning America, She performed with R Kelly at the American Music Awards. She did radio interviews. She made a full-length video she did herself, plus ARTPOP. She's on tour which is getting rave reviews. Let it go. Maybe her ambition is to make music she's proud of and to be there for her fans, if that's the case I'm gonna have to say she's hitting her mark. A) Major Burn Out or B) You turn into an asshole. I suspect Gaga has struggled with A) along with her depression already. I'll take option C) Gaga with a healthy, balanced life.
