I love ARTPOP just as much as you do, but this album could make her very popular again. And I love Lady Is A Tramp

Gaga is doing this because she wants to, shes wanted to for several years Its a side-project in her career.

 

Most people don't listen to jazz music, which is a large genre. Especially people who are like "I'm not a fan of Jazz music" *facepalm* Its not like Jazz is on the radio all of the time for you to hear it so often as to form such a detailed opinion on it.

 

I guess i just question people who claim to have such a dislike of something so large and various in general without giving it a chance.  Not really directed @ you, but in general.

 

Most people are excited because its freaking NEW MUSIC. and BY GAGA. Like, with her singing. Gaga doesn't make bad music in a lot of people's eyes (mine included ) so even if i werent a fan of jazz, id still be excited as ****. New Music from an Artist doesnt come by every day. I'm excited to hear Paradise and w.e other original song(s?) will be on the item.

 

+ Its a whole album. Though its prolly like 12 songs just because we've waited so long.

 

I'll admit I'm excited to hear her new work, any of it, always - to this day. And I remember when Burim was leaking **** on here years ago and was excited to hear TFM and BTW demos and B-tracks. I'll listen to the album and I'll probably fall in love with it. But I still feel like we were ripped off of ARTPOP ACT II because of her being mismanaged and because of this jazz album.

I mean when was the last time you heard a jazz song on the radio?

First off, Jazz isn't mainstream, so it's obviously not going to be on Top 40... Second, Jazz/Tony is very popular today.  Don't forget the Grammys that his past couple of albums has won.  This will probably be Gaga's most glorified work to date if done correctly.

It will be cool to see this side of Gaga. I think this album will be absolutely cherished by fans in the years to come.

Gaga isn't being mismanaged by doing a Jazz album with a Jazz legend

I don't think you should be so concerned about her career, and if you are concerned - try thinking more long term rather than short term. Gaga is in a good position career-wise right now. Projects like these are going to look great when Gaga is older and programs are doing career retrospects.

We have known about C2C since before ARTPOP was released though... Gaga has been working on this album with Tony for ages, ACT II has nothing to do with this album.

This is the most pointless thread I've seen in ages. I'm not a diehard jazz fan, but I couldn't be more excited for this album. Gaga is at her best when she plays piano and sings jazz or acoustic versions of her songs

It's great to know that you love ARTPOP.  :)

 

I am not a diehard jazz fan but I am very excited about Cheek To Cheek. Mainly because it's still Gaga performing. It's a unique opportunity for her to show off her great voice and attract the attention of people who are normally not interested in pop music. I think that this may only be good for her career. And the pop Gaga isn't going anywhere. We are still going to get pop albums from her in the future. Maybe even Act II. Who knows.  ;)

 

In the meantime you should really give this new album a chance. Maybe you'll even like some of it.
