More people will be killed in this "gradual cultural progression" than in an invasion. I don't hear anything about any change happening over there.

Deaths due to an invasion will be wasted, so why have them? Yes more people are going to die but there's not a lot we can do

Actually, a **** load more people would be killed in an invasion. See ala Middle East and Vietnam.

I have to think that prehistoric cavemen had better rules for society than some places in a civilized world. Where are the morals?

Mars..........or bust!

Disgusting really, would be so much easier if we could purge the people that do these sort of things.

Ugh. Most of the news posts here are absolutely depressing. I guess I should be glad to be living where I am. Sigh.

America's invasions have obviously been working out so well for everyone.

The Korean, Vietnam, and Afghan wars were all embarrassing failures. Clearly the invasion mindset doesn't work.

Well Culture clearly doesn't have to do with what the man did. He didn't do it because of religion or because it was Pakistani culture. He did because he is a maniac who should be punished.

I've seen many cases around the world. In America, India, UK, Canada, Brazil but that doesn't mean you start blaming the country or even religion for a fact. That man did it just like how people murder in every other country. They are sadistic and maniacs.

I saw that in India a woman was cut by an axe by a man who loved her but she didn't love her back. But it's not the Indians fault if that man did it.

Some replies to this thread just show how narrow-minded and stereotyped the world is.  :fail:

Well, people who murder there are in every country, but when such thing happens in a country that in its culture it's acceptable to commit an honor killing, of course people are going to blame the culture for instilling violence values in the society.

First of all NO!

In our culture and religion HONOR KILLINGS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED!

This incident the lady who was beaten to death was covered widelyin our country and all the people were against of saying it was an honour killing! The man is being held responsible for murder by the court and there is no way that in our culture on religion that Honor Killings are allowed!

Instilling violence values is no where the cause of our culture nor our religion!

Plus I can bring out so many cases from around the world but then again those cultures and religions are not blamed to the extent of how much out culture/religion is.

No doubt there are extremists in our country who carry out violence and abuse and murders etc, but we don't consider them to be a part of our religion due to the fact of then trying to make their own facts of a religion etc.

Plus this case of burning the girl has no evidence it was done as an Honor Killing and still the blame was being put on our culture/religion.

The man did a deed like many do around the world and for that he should be punished strictly!

Exactly.

Some users here need to learn that a minority of uncivilized savage maniacs do not represent the entire nation, or it's respective cultural, religious or civil values.

The fact the U.S is in a "War Against Terrorism" or were in a "War Against Terrorism" (Sorry I don't keep up with it because it is a bunch of bull****), yet we are doing nothing about this ****ed up inhumane culture? :excuseme:

It pisses me the **** off. :manicure:

At the moment what seems like a bunch of bull**** to me is that you think Pakistani culture endorses such uncivilized and vile behaviour, which is clearly not the case. :later:
