This isn't exactly an organization of people who set others alight. What is the U.S. supposed to do? Become the Pakistani government? Install cameras in every Pakistani's house? You can't just come in and change people's culture

People are killing people without any sort of punishment and you're basically trying to justify the killings by the underlined point. It's not my job to come up with ways to make the world a better place. I'm not in politics or a political leader. I'm just an American citizen. You're expecting America to be the world's supreme dictator. America can't just destroy a government and replace it with a new one because they don't like it. Imagine if it was Iran, or Pakistan who was a world power. Would you like it if they came in and abolished our democracy? If the Pakistani people truly don't like it enough then they should protest and get that done themselves, but let them decide not us.

There's nothing we can do to change their culture except maybe contribute to like organizations here in the STates that work for women's rights and stuff like that as well as increasing awareness

Well the good thing is that with technology like phones and twitter people can see what its like in the rest of the world and they realize how crappy their situation is and how they should fight. Like with the revolutions in Egypt, people heard of others revolting and thought they should do it themselves too.

The sad thing with Egypt is it got them nowhere

Religion has too big of a hold over there. Women and gays have like no rights over there. I can't believe you are trying to defend their government and extremism. All I see is a bunch of people getting murdered and no justice being served. The U.S isn't perfect and no country ever will be, but we are a hell of a lot better than that mess. You have to have a gradual cultural progression and invading isn't going to change people's opinions about gays and women, its just going to get people killed including Americans. More people will be killed in this "gradual cultural progression" than in an invasion. I don't hear anything about any change happening over there.
