our fanbase thought a song that's about bottoms would be a great single choice what other fanbase but us

no one really knows the song is "About bottoms" which, its not as black n white as that even. this fanbase always poaches on about how the "gp" doesnt care about songs with messages, but to be honest they dont pay attention and dont know when a pop song is being satirical, so to say g.u.y's message or theme hurt its chances at being a hit is misguided and illogical by this fanbase's standards.

It's what the DJs were telling people who called in to request it. I mean, personally I don't agree at all; I think it makes no sense. But it's what they said.

i feel like its such a catch 22. radio djs, music listeners, and the entire industry needs to freakin realize, using that "well it doesnt have much buzz from the public" as an excuse not to play a new song is not gonna get quality music to the forefront, like how are people gonna know about new music when djs shun it for not having hype, and then when fans request it, they are given the same excuse. i honestly think people just wanna detach from anything gaga beause theyre scared, which ISNT gagas fault at all, she shouldnt have to conform, so its just this big paradox. 

 

theres no reason why most the songs on ARTPOP couldnt be descent radio hits, if not big hits. i dont agree with gaga's stance about tailoring everything for pop radio, i do think that was a mistake on her part, BUT it should've worked because theres nothing wrong with the songs, a lot of them are very pop, not too complicated, production is scaled back (again i dont agree with these characteristics, but its what people seem to prefer) great vocals, relaxed songwriting, theres no reason these songs couldnt do well.
