teo 609
Members say a lot of tings here. Only a very small part of them turn out to be true. I'm sure you don't need a list of all the songs that have been called hits by the members of this forum that flopped to know what I'm talking about. :haha:
Nemo 4,293
Hell if I know. I don't understand what happened with G.U.Y. And it bothers me.
Guest
G.U.Y. would be SO AWKWARD for Ariana. I don't know why, it just doesn't fit her at all. G.U.Y. was a good single choice, it just didn't take off. Who knows why, but it was definitely not a bad single choice. Actually all of the ARTPOP single choices have been the perfect. Jewels n Drugs 4,629
No. The real problem with G.U.Y. was the lack of promo :emo: oh look when you werent looking my motorcycle turned into a piano
Gov Hooka 8,008
I agree with the bold part. I never thought it was a good single choice, and I always wondered why so many people were pushing for it to become a single. our fanbase thought a song that's about bottoms would be a great single choice what other fanbase but us
Batwings 12,885
our fanbase thought a song that's about bottoms would be a great single choice what other fanbase but us I never thought about it that way before, but you are SO right...
xzxyyxzx 116
No, she should of released MANiCURE, until then she's doomed to flop
Yanko 9,860
G.U.Y is too intelligent and mature of a song for Ariana Grande. She is basic children's pop. So...
Cody Draco 2,531
our fanbase thought a song that's about bottoms would be a great single choice what other fanbase but us Gaga probably thought her fanbase was full of feminine bottoms. She was wrong.

Yanko 9,860
g.u.y is actually really really catchy SONG who ever heard it liked it the real reason why it flopped was lack of promo ok u may say expensive vid but if you dont hear the song in the radio it simply wont take off...my friends listened to it and EVERYONE liked it so the music is not the problem with ARTPOP problem is messed up promo (did gaga even gave a chance to g.u.y? ) venus and dope got more promo than g.u.y venus was 32 dope 8 (oh AND ARIANA COULD NEVER PULL OF G.U.Y ) BUY ultraviolence on itunes
gongchuen 2
Gaga didn't promote the single well otherwise it will be a hit . That song is a god. you see so far only 1 televised performance . The marketing work is so sloppy .
ShezG 0
No promo tbh! Can't imagine ariana singing that intro lol!
Pain of fame1 229
DEFINITLY NO. G.U.Y could only be pulled by Gaga. Ariana Grande's type of music is more inmature and childish simple-pop and doesn't fit G.U.Y. If G.U.Y flopped is.because of the lack of promotion. A GREAT VIDEO ISN'E ENOUGHT FOR THE SONG TO TAKE OFF, it needs lots of radio airplay and more televised peformances. (Not only in the Usa but in europe) If this was done, G.U.Y could have been a TOP 10. It is very cachy guys and everybody who i played it to, love it. Antidote 95
GUY would be a hit with enough promo, and if Ariana is the next big thing, then yes probably (although I'm not a fan of her and I think she's a little bit too young, I wouldn't believe her if she sang the lyrics...) I just feel like when someone is big right now in the industry almost all of the songs are hits...it's not always about the song and the public being fed up with Gaga'S "art thing" is a problem
