GUY and Donatella are dated and the second one is recycled as well ( not that it is a bad thing but considering how basic EDM it is)

I'm usually on board everything you say, V. But I don't get this argument :( for example, I think "GUY" sounds more edgy and current than "Hair".

Zedd :legend:

Aura and G.U.Y. are among the best songs on ARTPOP :)

Plus Hair is my least favorite Gaga song :flop:

I agree, GUY has that futuristic sound, and I love the song (one of my favorites from ARTPOP) but there comes a point where it gets too noisy or loud that I have to skip it. On the other hand, Hair is one of those songs that has that nostalgia feeling and it actually sounds like an 80's inspired song, which I love. I honestly would rather listen to Hair 10 times in a row than GUY. (Wow, and I was so in love with GUY at first, but it gets me tired).

Just listening to Scheiße makes me feel like that song is better than GUY, Donatella and Aura together. I mean, I remember Gaga saying how she was in Berlin and RedOne was playing that pounding synth to her, and she decided to write Scheiße. Many songs work like this, even old beats (like Government Hooker & Bloody Mary, and look at how amazing they turned out).

It's not that I think Aura and Donatella are "less-quality" than RedOne's productions, it's just that Aura was an instrumental that actually sounds better without the vocals and Zedd barely did any work on it of his own.

My problem with Donatella are the cheesy lyrics, which make me feel awkward, but I guess the song is supposed to be like that. This is Gaga we're talking about, and after Born This Way, ARTPOP disappointed me.

Back on topic, I have better memories of the Born This Way songs than ARTPOP. Scheiße the remix at the Mugler show, then listening to the album in full and think "How is this possible?", Judas released as a single and me attending the Monster Ball where she performed it live for the first time, Hair being released as a promo single and think "If this is a promo single, how the hell do the next singles sound like?" and the instrumentals, etc. It's just that I'm more attached to this album, that Aura, Donatella and GUY are just "some Gaga songs".

Better Day

ARTPOP sucks compared to TF and BTW. But all of them suck compared to TFM.

Redone wins for me overall cause TF/TFM but just based on the songs in question and the fact that I never liked Hair,

Zedd cause Aura

This definitely.

See, I feel like the chorus of "Hair" alone is noisier than ARTPOP altogether. I dunno, I adore Born This Way but the production is off more often than not, in my opinion, although the songwriting is stronger than that. I found ARTPOP overall more consistent and effortlessly entertaining. It sounds like Gaga. Not Springsteen, not Whitney, but her.

Their pretty similar in that their both pretty basic and non-versatile producers but i'll have to go with Zedd just because he did something new and adventurous with Gaga. All Redones tracks on BTW already follow the same formula/structure as many songs that they've already done...

Can't decide because Judas and Scheiße are awesome, but I also love the production on Aura and GUY

I love how before ARTPOP everyone was hating on RedOne and praised Zedd so much.
I like Zedd, but on ARTPOP his work did not shine; Aura is not his, G.U.Y is good and Donatella too, but nothing spectacular. I think he's a type of person who wants to do all by himself, with no one telling him what to do and how to do it. While Gaga is the type of person who wants  to participate on everything regarding her music. So, in my opinion, he didn't go all out because he felt like Gaga was not giving him all the freedom he wanted. He's been lazy and never talked so good about Gaga (not that he did talk bad either).
RedOne and Gaga on the other hand, have always made wonders together. And even if RedOne is listed only as a co-writer on Gypsy, I'm sure he contributed too. And Gypsy is one of the fan favorites. Make 1+1.

So, BTW RedOne vs ARTPOP Zedd.... RedOne wins
