I remember that Gaga said she had chosen  Zedd and Madeon, after hearing them, from the work that they had sent her, so the situation is actually different. Recycling should not be seen as "rag color" to the situation, but as an adaptation of something that had already been produced. This is not "i'm lazy" but " you guys have a potential with those demos don't waste them , we will give new life"

Born Brave

I'm ready for all you little managers to get out of this fanbase. It's toxic. It's unwarranted and ungrateful. The fact is that none of you understand music production or EDM music or even MUSIC in general. Gaga hires producers to produce her music. Those producers may have a vocal to go off of and they either find something that fits for them (unreleased material or originally crafted). 99 percent of the time when a song is released the public never finds out if it's original or unreleased but with Gaga everything is under the microscope because of the extreme level of standards that she is held to. I would like to know how many songs off of Prism, Britney Jean, and other albums from last year received the same treatment. We will never know... and why should we ever care? Gtfo if you cant understand this concept.

it sounds "similar"......? It's literally the same ****ing song. https://m.soundcloud.com/reminiscence-records/do-what-u-want-dance-with-the but yet her team denied using this track at all...sure gaga....sure. Anyone who thinks DWUW wasn't a recycle should listen to this. Honestly speaking tho. This version is like 1000000x better. She needs dance with the dead to produce on her next album and do 80's glam techno rock

I'm speaking melodically/compositionally. DWUW rounds to the minor in fours rather than the deep's two. I guess I was too loose with "similar", as the synth and drum sound exactly the same, but the composition is not.

I wouldn't have minded Gaga and DJWS sampling, but apparently Dance With the Dead deny the sampling/say it doesn't sound the same?

Interludicrous

Venus' first verse and verse structure is sampled, but everything else lyrically and melodically is original. Unless you're talking production, in which it is all original (other than the Zombie Zombie vocal sample, of course). Dope, I'm sure is completely original. On the note of these two songs, they were actually the quickest, and last to be, made. It's interesting to consider that for these songs in particular, Gaga took the production reins (Venus is her own production with help from Madeon; Dope she worked with Rubins, but he said that most of the song was all her).

I don't know, just food for my thought.

I know that these were largely original though, that was my point. :P

Maybe my post wasnt completely clear

For the second one, isn't the hoover synth commonly used in electronic.dance music? Not trying to detract you taking samples, but going by that route then that would mean Rihanna's Cake and Bloody Beetroot's/Steve Aoki's Warp 1.9 would sample it, too.

As for the first one, yeah I don't doubt the sampling. Though, it's just a background percussion element. Minor, but still something I guess.

Monster2015

When did she say that? Because this is kinda starting to piss me off tumblr_inline_muif1h6xNC1qf3eh3.gif

"I write all my own songs" ... shouldn't that include instrumentals? tumblr_inline_n2g4lqRlX11qf3eh3.gif

It doesn't have to necessarily mean writing the instrumentals too. Some artists get inspired by listening to the instrumental first then writing the lyrics and some just naturally hear the sounds in their head (a la Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga)

Whispering

THIS. She bought the rights to the songs so there isn't anything wrong with that, but the wait for this album was ridiculous. But I guess it is because they recorded over 50 different songs for the album.

It was two and a half years. Most albums are released two to three years apart. There is nothing ridiculous about waiting the typical time period between albums. Gaga fans are ridiculous for their unrealistic expectations.

There is a huge difference between using two specific sounds and using a whole instrumental (and the fact that the intro was on Gaga's MJH demo...).
