She is doing fine, she doesn't need to come back and i'm sure Cheek to Cheek will be a great album. Um, paying for her videos and promo spots? Without Interscope there would be no G.U.Y. video that everyone on here loves so much Well Gaga reportedly paid for the G.U.Y video herself and she directed it herself... However musically speaking she hasn't been very relevant since Applause. Personally I'd say since The Edge of Glory, but either way you can't deny she hasn't been much of a force lately. Yup. Long term artists (and those of us who have followed them for many years) know this basic fact. That's not delusional...that's realistic. ARTPOP was in the top 10 albums of 2013 and has sold over 2.5 million worldwide. The tour will place Gaga in the top 10 tours for 2014. Long term artists (and those of us who have followed them for many years) know this basic fact. That's not delusional...that's realistic. +1 If an artists has a career span of 30+ years you can be certain that there will be highs and lows. Gaga just had a massive start so everything she does now seems like a failure which is far from the truth. Well...maybe a failure for her standards but completely in line with what her contemporaries are doing. ARTPOP, in terms of commercial success is just a little bump on the road. She'll be fine. A fake fan is a "fan" that will leave the artist they love because they aren't at the top of their game. F*** that. If you ditch someone because they aren't the brightest star in the sky, you were never a true fan to begin with. Gaga would agree. She doesn't want "fans" that will ditch her when she's going through a rough era. She's better off never having those "fans" to begin with. Some people just like what's hot at the moment and when something new comes they jump on that. Nothing wrong with that. Why would you judge someone who stans for success? Some people just aren't here for some indie acts with low budget videos and bubbling under songs. I think subconciously we are all drawn to successful artists. You end up checking them because you want to know what all the hype is about and then it's up to you if it's something you like or not. It happened with Gaga, it happened with Adele and it's happening with Katy Perry. The only time I would ever call someone a "fake" fan (god I hate that phrase) is when someone praises an artist and loves them so much but then don't support their music. I completely understand if there's financial issues but if you do have a few dollars to spare then get your ass out of the house and go buy their music.
