oprahwinfrey 35
Once the ARTPOP era kicked off and Gaga took off her weave and showed us her real hair, I immediately started thinking of a specific concept for the next album. You see, The Fame era was ultimately a parody of what people perceive of fame and pop stars, whereas The Fame Monster was a more honest representation in which Gaga depicted the dark side/monsters of fame. Then she leaped forward into an album that was both before its time and ahead of its time at the same time and released Born This Way, an album that was created to empower people of all ages (most specifically youth, however) all around the world. Born This Way represented themes such as equality, self-respect, pride, and various other concepts, creating a powerful image for Gaga as a role model. But at the same time, she had to fill the shoes of a "role model" as her flame seemingly burned brighter than ever. Then came ARTPOP, the hybrid album. During the ARTPOP era, Gaga showed her fans many sides, showing that she is truly "every icon," versatile in her musical abilities, and truly an artist to the core. Throughout each of those albums, however, Gaga was always shapeshifting. A parody of fame during The Fame, a representation of the dark side of fame during The Fame Monster, a vehicle for the voice of equality during Born This Way, and a hybrid with ARTPOP. Usually, at some point in the midst of every era, Gaga tends to begin shapeshifting into whatever it is her next era will represent. During ARTPOP, I've noticed that there have been multiple periods of time where Gaga just seems to want to break away from the blonde pop star. There seem to be so many moments where she wants to be able to not have to constantly shape shift into something new, and just wants to be human. I get this feeling more than ever when she describes her love for Taylor and sings songs like "I Wanna Be With U" and "Gypsy." She's been talking about how she truly wants to experience love, have some fun with her friends, experience being young while she's still young, and just be a real, genuine, human. "I Wanna Be With U" seems like a genuine plea for that thirst for love and normality, and because of all of this, I think that the next album will be about just that: being human. It will be about being in love, finding love, being young and having fun, and breaking away from all of this bullshît she's had to go through as a popstar. There have been so many hints at this during the ARTPOP era in my opinion, ranging from when she (for the first time since she got really famous) took off her wig and all of her makeup during Swinefest and performed as herself, to her mini Mary Jane Holland era where she went brunette and sought to escape the life of a popstar, to the drama with DWUW and Troy and everything else that's been going on during this era. I just feel that the next album may be a bit more stripped, with the creative Gaga flair, of course, but will encompass the themes of being in love, being young, and being human. Perhaps escaping FAME and finding Happiness. That's just the vibe I've gotten so far. didnt read this before but absolutely this
UzK 95
The decay of a blonde icon. Oh no wait she lived that concept for ARTPOP.
Kit Walker 6
Supernatural and occultism. That, or depression and emptiness. This! I would love an album full of supernatural themes. I could see her including themes of death and pain into this, and I could see her doing something like born this way in terms of both rock and electronic music, with some haunting melodies thrown in. But, in all honesty, any theme she could come up with would be great for me.
Hexxx 2,244
The Decay would be cool. I thought ARTPOP was supposed to be futuristic but we only had 2 futuristic songs like VENUS and ARTPOP Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
Spooky 501
Death, despair, loss, grief, anguish I want a dark, rock influenced album, with some disco funk for the lighter songs; with a little jazz glittered all over Thiiiiiiiiiisssssss. Except maybe the jazz part. But darkrockdiscoga is the greatest thing ever. like a ghost, i vanish into you
UzK 95
But in all seriousness, perhaps something waaay more personal and honest, something stripped back, showing us the human beneath the costumes and effects and theatrics. Think I Wana Be With U, that level of raw humanity, a plea for affection and adoration. She can attempt to keep a pop flair sound yet moving away from the EDM-heavy current industry, having something more ballad based but still making a bop. Ditch the preaching of love and conceptual themes of art and fame, and move towards something that reflects life and experiences, in the vein of Gypsy or You & I. Gov Hooka 8,008
In essence Gaga's best when she does darker music and I hope this album is dark and even demonic a la Bloody Mary, Government Hooker, Electric Chapel, Scheisse, Judas. And mess at us talking about the new album already
Daydream 541
For her fifth album, I think it should be more laid-back and calm. Perhaps even as relaxing as ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response). There is doubt that she works well with EDM, heavy synths or rock-types of productions, but they are sounds that she has already explored and she should progress, evolve and experiment as an artist. I was thinking that she should incorporate natural environmental sounds (the ocean, the rain, thunder storms, burning wood, strong winds, etc.) with light string instruments such as acoustic guitar, violin or the harp with an electronic/trance production that will ultimately lead to a spiritual, majestic or mystical approach to the album. Think Coldplay's "Ghost Stories" or Madonna's "Ray of Light", but obviously with Gaga's own twist to it. She could write about moving forward, hope, chances, perceverance, dreams/fantasies, her aunt Joanne, melancholy moments in her life, her love for taylor and the people she's let go of. Who knows, it's Gaga we're talking about here and she always does the unexpected... It's just an idea.
VasilisVas 5,181
an album about love so that it can be relatable wether it's falling in love, being in love, or heartbreak.

ryhanna 3,507
The decay theme has been thrown around and even kind of mocked since it was first rumoured in 2012, but it's actually a pretty good concept and especially reflective of Gaga in the media right now. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she explored a similar theme in her next album.
blacklistedd 599
Possibilities are endless as far as the emotional content goes but I do know that i'd like an entire album thats similar in sound and quality to this performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_m0ab3952E
aaronyoji 2,054
No concept, an album titled "GAGA". let the music speak for itself. why do many people think that having a lack of concept makes the work speak better for itself? in comparison to gaga's more avant garde influences like bowie, grace jones, klaus nomi, etc, gaga has yet to make a truly conceptual theatric album. btw is the closest we have to that but even so you can pick random songs that are just good as songs, so idk, i dont get it. i like creativity i like knowing there was an idea behind a record, i like knowing there was an intention with the instrumental, i like knowing it was inspired. warhol killah 8,674
An album with an futuristic theme that also incorporates mythology and death. A mix of these songs/synths:-the production and lyrics of “Venus†-the Greek/Roman mythology used in “G.U.Y.†-the hypnotic-trance synths in “ARTPOP†-the alien synth used in the chorus of “MANiCURE†-the production of “Applause†-the intro and mini-instrumental break before the bridge in “Poker Face†-the whole chorus of “So Happy I Could Die†-the intro of “Dance In The Dark†-the production and vocal effects in “Born This Way†-the vocal effects in “Heavy Metal Lover†-the climax ending of “Electric Chapel†and “Highway Unicorn†It would be cool if she did something like this. It would really fit the “performance in outer space†next year. warhol killer ✴ GAGA¹⁵
