I am so sad about ARTPOP

It might be remembered a lot better in a few years. Who knows. Some things take time to leave a mark.

Just look at BTW. Most of us remember it as a positive era overall even though it was a bit rough at the time.

MANiCURE, Fashion, Mary Jane Holland and Brooklyn Nights would get released through the app as cute B-sides that they are.

Jewels'n'Drugs wouldn't exist. :toofunny:

it's better that way :fan:

The concept of the album is more clear.

Less filler.

And it would mean Gaga can release more frequently.

theres fillers on the fame monster tho, whether you like them or not their are always gonna be those filller tracks in an album/ep, but thats ok, an album needs those more casual, lighter moments, its just ARTPOP had one too many. like with tfm i get bored half way through,

let me just stat by saying the concept of this era was not executed. if the whole point was to put ART in POP most of this album makes no sense. Venus and ARTPOP are really the only two tracks that fit the whole reverse worholian theme.

Applause is a great song but it was the worst song gaga (or Interscope) could have chosen for the lead. It sent the wrong message for what gaga wanted to do with this album.

The music on ARTOP did not live up to BTW. Its mediocre but it has superior production and it shows. the album may be lackluster at points but the producing i feel saves it. The era was Promoted in all the wrong ways and DWUW was a disaster (which makes me feel awful cause its my fav gaga song tbh). My favorite gaga songs (DWUW and Venus) are from this album but as a whole it is my least favorite, only because it marks a hard time for gaga.

weird how she made an album that should be more accepting (at least in her words, more commercial) to the general public and radio friendly but it didn't :noparty:

it's true that the theme is confusing as hell with the songs that's included

but this album definitely gave me more songs to jam to than any other albums :worship:

not sure about this jazz album but I'm waiting for Act II since she said it'll be less commercial, more experimental

Anyway I'm grateful for the music she has given us--don't need the apps, videos, fashion, or "shock"

after all, I BECAME A FAN OF GAGA BECAUSE OF HER MUSIC :legend:

Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone

I don't know what they were thinking not making Gypsy a single.

Guys, the "era" is far from over. As long as the ArtRAVE tour is going and her next (solo starring) album isn't released, we're in the ARTPOP "era".

The music is so good and some of the performances and fashion have been her best!! I will miss it :emo:

Fave album from her. Although I'm ready for Cheek to Cheek and people should realize all artists have some messy eras along the way.

ARTPOP is probably my favorite album from her. Her promo and execution totally sucked though. It's all about timing and she wasn't in sync this go 'round. The DWUW chaos is really what started it.

Apart from Aura and Venus, ARTPOP's songs are not that good for me but I understand it's so sad for you guys who love the album that the era is finished and in such a bad way

Every artist is entitled to valleys in between their peaks. ARTPOP is a valley in most ways that you look at it and people need to get over it. It's not like ARTPOP seriously was a bomb or anything, just poor management and execution of the material; also, compared to previous works, ARTPOP is not her best work. Lady Gaga knows exactly what she is doing and she will be fine. I think she overhyped ARTPOP to everyone and that's why it fizzled. She announced the album in August 2012 and it didn't come out until 15 months later, it was almost oversaturation.

Also, the ARTPOP campaign isn't really over until the tour is finished so :coffee:

So will C2C count as her 5th studio album? Because if I remember right her contract with interscope is only for 5 albums.
