For once ARTPOP isn't winning one of these polls.

Born This Way was creative in every aspect whereas the others had the moments but had some basic moments too.

TFM easily. The music on her first 3 albums is all equally creative, but the visuals during TFM were out of this world, she really had the perfect team back then. It's interesting that as she's gotten richer, her outfits and looks have gotten cheaper.

What surprises me about Gaga is how much she's able to do with relatively little. The early days of The Fame, for example, when she'd create a whole performance using her LCD glasses and the disco stick prop. Or even pre-The Fame, when she would perform in clubs and light hairspray on fire as a low-budget pyrotechnic. The Monster Ball was mostly funded out of her own pocket and was a relatively small budget for a high profile tour, too, I believe...

Her creativity when she doesn't have much to work with can be just as good, if not better than when she's got a team of 100 synchronised dancers, a big expensive castle, or other huge sets.

Peak was around the late-Fame Monster and early-Born This Way era (so far). Not to say there's not been anything creative or interesting before or since, buy that was when she was completely on it in all respects (message, voice, production, visual aesthetic, performance, and coherence of theme).

I think it will be hard for her to recapture the level of popularity she had, but I am convinced that we can see that level of finesse and consummate art from her again.

I hope not having as much money and fame will force her creative hand, so to speak, as it once did when she was back in her early days and had to rely on her ingenuity as a resource, not her financial capital.

Born This Way.

The meat dress? The vessel? Jo Calderone?

The prosthetics? Yuyi?

The huge beehive? The black bangs? The teal hair?

The music videos? The album cover? The performances?

The rock-influences? The lyrics? The tour?

The list goes on and on... Born This Way was the best era.

To me in terms of creativity NOTHING can even hold a candle to Born This Way Era. :gaga:

The concept for the album, the concept for each performance, the concept for the tour and the concept for each video is better than EVERYTHING. It was conceptually BRILLIANT.

And musically the album is so adventurous and creative. Right now I'm listening to it and you can just hear how out of this world the production is. Quite dark sonically for most tracks but still dancy. It just blows me away. Everything about the album is creative and the lyrics oh good God... The empowering clever lyrics! :worship2:

And when I think of creativity instantly everything about Marry The Night pops to mind. The concepts for her performances, the vocal tics in the song, the choreography, the FUCKING FLAWLESS video. Praise the good sis Marry The Night and Born This Way Era. :kisses:

I disagree. By that point, she was definitely in her Born This Way era. She'd mentioned it, along with other song titles from the album, in interviews and such. Her fashion had also evolved from the The Fame Monster stylings by this point, too. She announced the album on this evening, and the artistic statement behind the dress was directly related to the key theme on the album and its lead single. She also got the Born This Way tattoo around this date.

I'm certain that I am not alone in considering the VMAs 2010 the true beginning of the Born This Way era.

It could've been ARTPOP if the execution would've followed through.

I'm really torn between TFM and BTW for real...I think I'm going to go with TFM because of the music videos. Born This Way is seriously up there too though performance-wise.
