Mythos

The whole performance seemed amateurish and i didn't care for the wardrobe/wig change. The first idea was much better but MTV wanted all eyes on Miley...

The best performance of the night. She showed them the true art of performance, Gaga deserved to have the spotlight that night but it went to miley for walking up and down the stage in a bikini, to make it worse people actually thought it was shocking :toofloppy:

As much as I love that performance I think it's to early to say it's iconic

I don't think we can tell for now. But in a few years I think it'll be a yes.

Not really, apart from the changing it wasn't anything special.

To me, it definitely is. Nobody changed as many wigs and outfits live onstage DURING a performance before. Also her dancing is ON POINT. In addition to that, the whole rushing through the eras theme is genius. And let's not forget this amazing intro and the pre-recorded booing! ICONIC

Ever heard of Quick Change?

Iconic is such a strong and misused work here. :emma:

I'd say there are pretty much three iconic things Gaga has done.  Poker Face, Bad Romance, and the meat dress.  The 2009 VMAs and the vessel are close.

yup

Thats not really a change if you ask me...

...then what is it? She's litterally changing clothes

I would say most things (songs, looks, performances) of The Fame and The Fame Monster era are iconic ,as they're remembered by so many people all around the world. I don't see that 'iconicy' during the ARTPOP era.

It's not iconic and I'm cringing at this thread. Sure it was a good performance.. but it was totally overshadowed by Miley. Don't get me wrong, I love Gaga and I think she's amazing... But imo the only performance of hers that's iconic is Paparazzi at the VMA's.

No. People who aren't fans aren't gonna remember that like they will remember the Paparazzi one.

no, its not remembered at all... none of the performances are really remembered this era (maybe the Swine one at SXSW but not because people liked it thats for sure)
