Guest
I'm not trying to belittle anybody's suffering or pain. But I was asked why it's more offensive if Robin Think sings about rape than it is if Lady Gaga does and my response is because he is a man. I just defended my answer. he literally did sing about rape! Wtf is blurred lines omg! At least Gaga's is about the media
DrewStevens 5,249
It's not trivializing as your comparing two situations that are vastly different and saying they're the same. Nice copout though copout. answer the question. it is VERY obvious. no one is talking about the offender. We are talking about the experience of the victims, which is this case is MUCH worse for women. It's again, VERY obvious. BACK ON TOPIC THOUGH: Gaga isn't singing about rape at all.......... It doesn't matter what's the point of this, the issue here is that no matter how worse it is people should not compare the suffer/pain of anyone. It's very tasteless. And your statement "... than (if) women (could) rape men. " is really tasteless and ignorant. Women rape men too, that shouldn't be put in doubt. MJHolland 12,723
I wouldn't want to be either. What kind of question is that? One that helps to answer why it's more offensive for Robin Thick to sing blurred lines than it is if a woman were to sing about the same topic. he literally did sing about rape! Gagz 2,572
One that helps to answer why it's more offensive for Robin Thick to sing blurred lines than it is if a woman were to sing about the same topic. That is my point.... Rape is offensive regardless of who is raping whom.

stackhouse 3
Both of you, right now, tell me if you would rather be a man being raped by a woman or a woman being raped by a man. Those are the only two options. Absolutely no alternative answers. Go. I don't even understand how to answer this question. Would you rather be stabbed with a knife or shot with a gun? The outcome is the same. You have no idea how rape affects the mind. When a man is raped he is greeted by dumb ****s like you who try to tell him it's not that bad. You are an immature idiot spewing your woefully ignorant, biased and childish opinions on a forum where no-one agrees with you
Gagz 2,572
irrelevant irrelevant K. Nobody agrees with you. Your views on this topic are completely sick. Have you ever been raped? Have you experienced being a rape victim as a man? I don't see how you have the right to say it's not bad when men get raped. It's disgusting. Seems a lot less painful. Pain is real; it's a reality and it's measurable and it's comparable. It is not something to be ignored. And idk how I'm being biased(????)!!! Have you ever even cared to read into any scientific papers on the subject? Because I really can't figure out what you're talking about. I can't figure out at what point you decided that females have it worse than males in a rape scenario. So please, could you please state very clearly, exactly WHY you think male victims should be overlooked? Is it because female have to deal with penetration? and the pain that comes from penetration? (Trying to make sense of you "pain" comment in this context) What is it, according to you, that makes female victims' experience more traumatic than men? Edit: or better yet, let's call it a day :) Oh, I'm just visiting-

Rainbowgynous 0
I am having a failure to understand human stupidity again. Are we really fighting over which terrible thing is more terrible than another terrible thing? BOTH THINGS ARE TERRIBLE AND SHOULD NOT BE BLOODY HAPPENING AT ALL AND IT IS NOT A MOTHERFRAKKING COMPETITION OF SEVERITY!!! </freakout> [breathe] now quit it and invest yo tiny braincapacities into trying to make bad stuff not happen at all rather than getting your bloody panties in a bunch over ranking it. No woman or man living on earth wants to get raped regardless of the gender that's perpetrating the crime. Man or woman the psychological effects can ruin a person's life.
