Why do we need to find somebody to blame for ARTPOP not being as successful as her other albums? Does it matter that much? We could request GUY a billion times but DJ's still wouldn't play it if they didn't want to. But, she'll bounce back. I have faith in her to create high quality music that will slay us and will slay radio DJ's and radio listeners. Look at Britney, Madonna, Michael Jackson… They all had albums that weren't as successful as their biggest ones. Do we blame their fans for being lazy? No, because we know that it was merely a down period in their career, and we look at the bigger picture. We know that they came back from their less successful periods and continued to be successful. aquaprincess 23 Posted June 19, 2014 Share Posted June 19, 2014 I see your point, and while I agree with parts of it (monsters have gotten lazy, I am a little guilty of it myself), I disagree with u when u say she never had the Gp, she did back in TF and TFM eras. And to keep being a mega popstar you do need a good amount of the GP at least until you've been around for a good amount of time and had a certain amount of hits. I think right now gaga is having a hard time maintaining her foothold on the GP. And because of that shes not doing so well chart wise. Gaga needs to deliver better music. Thats it. Only delusional people wont admit that the quality of her work went down. I support her in everything she does and spent tons of time and money on her, but we can't really do much to make a song a hit. Im not gonna waste tims pushing stuff down people's throats or put videos on replay. A hit is not born that easily. The musical climate is changing, music is getting more personal again I feel. People listenw to whatever they want to listen to, not blindly follow what radio/media/recordcompanies or others claim is a hit. I see it a lot here in the Netherlands, times are changing. We do everything for her like we always have. How are we lazy? We may mope when Gaga's not around, but when she is, we raise her up like a higher being. She hasn't given us much of anything since the Venus/ DWUW mix-up minus GUY. Yet, we were promised so much more for the ARTPOP experience. I'm sick of this all drama ever since it's start during BTW era. She is popstar at the end of the day, and her work process has changed it's obvious. You think Alejandro is pop perfection but many do not. Many think Venus and Swine are not a downgrade from the past. If she is not producing music to your taste, it does not mean the quality of her work went down. Gaga is not writing music to please you, the critics, the media, or the GP. She is writing music to her own creative vision. At some point in the future her music will be looked back on objectively, not through the lens of today's poisoned environment. Now, with the mess of the ARTPOP ERA a lot of people just start listening to the music because she won't deliver us any bling if she keeps talking without producing something. The ARTPOP ERA betrayals started when she throw the DRESS CONTEST / VIDEO CONTEST Next: the APP , with music mixer, 3D printing and more. The Fame Monster was successful because of the controversy. Borb This Way was successful because of the hype. ARTPOP isn:t as successful as its ancestors. But for me, it's a masterpiece. I'm always greatful for what she gives me. I will always love and support her. I still agree that fans aren't that active as they were in the BTW era. Also people always have to make it a thing when i say Im a fan of Gaga.
