What I meant there in the GP. She'll have the GP back.

I  still hope the album at least debut on #1

No she won't because they won't know the album exists, and if they do they won't care. Young people don't want to listen to Gaga singing old jazz songs with an 87 year old man, and radio won't play it. But it will help her a lot with critics and she can score more Grammys so that's good.

Tony's Duets II sold 179,000 first week, hit Billboard #1, and took I think 3 grammy's overall.

Who cares how it performs on the radio. Critical success is way more important

actually, the most important is being able to hear Gaga's great voice without being buried in electronic production.

It won't be old Jazz, bro.

Not only young people buy records. Some adults and old people too, you know. Duets II debuted on #1

I know, the album should do very well amongst older audiences and critics. I'm just saying Gaga fans shouldn't get their hopes up that it will do anything big for her beyond that

All old-styled? Ok clearly you're like 12

Anyway, I'm sure Gaga will integrate her Pop sound/style with Jazz which I'm sure will sound magical  :legend:

I hope it's traditional jazz with no pop influences tbh.

Though if Gaga decided to make a solo record with pop songs infused with jazz influences, I'd be down for that. But this record I hope is pure, traditional jazz.

Sista, take your negativity and shove it where someone cares.... tbh tho  :later:

There actually are radio stations that play other than pop.

:awkney: Their last collab was The Lady is a Tramp which is from 1937. Do you think they're going to be singing pop songs? Radio won't play covers of songs from 60-80 years ago

arent lana's songs like the epitome of doing just that?

um no

Check The Lady is a Tramp. Is it POP for you? To me, it isn't

To be fair, that would be considered "pop" back then.

Lana's only recorded 2 covers of old songs and neither were released as singles, nor did they feature an 80 year old man. Big radio stations won't play music by someone in their 80's. My post was in response to someone who said the album would win back the GP, that's all
