VforVendetta 2,024
*fixed http://www.elvis.com/about-the-king/achievements.aspx I did know what to say, but I'd just rather talk to you in 30 years when your deluded defense is torn apart!!! Don't give me his achievements, I know most of them anyway. I was not talking about aclaim, how can someone doubt sales and Grammy awards. I am talking about how I think that he was overrated and there are many legends that desrve 10 times his acclaim. You still havn't answered my question though. WHy can't Gaga one day become as successful as Elvis Prisley?

I don't doubt for a second that there are many legends that deserve Elvis Presley's praise, and depending on each person's perspective there could be many much more talented people ingluding Gaga. But unfortunately it will be very hard for anyone born in this era to accomplish an Elvis status. You wanna call it just 'LUCK' go ahead, but that's what I initially wanted to point out. brizoda 3,846
Elvis defined rock roll like the Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Michael Jackson is the King of Pop, and maybe Madonna the Queen of Pop . . . by now

If you search "most famous musician of all time" guess who comes up first. https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=most+famous+musician+of+all+time No one can be more famous than Elvis, or The Beatles, or MJ. They're way too ingrained into pop culture and in the internet era people's attentions are much more divided than they were 50 years ago.

Thi sdoesn't mean though that others can't reach their legacy. They may be huge but don't firget that sa time passes people forget and the newer generarations don't follow the pop legacy from 50 and 70 years ago. I agree that it was much easier to become a legend back then than now if you deserve dit but still i tdoesn't mean that today we can't have legebds as well.
