So yes him being "attacked" is quite honestly expected considering he is coming onto a GAGA FANSITE and without any merit saying a work of art by our inspiration has ZERO ARTISTIC VALUE. I can't with you trying to defend him. begone If it is his/her opinion, then we have to accept it. It is as easy as that. He/She likes Gagas music, but doesn't like the artRave, whats so bad about that? If both sides stay on a constructive and respectful level, we can have a great discussion about why some think the artRave is artistic and why others think it is not. However, I did not know that the OP also doesn't accept any other opinions from other members, even being outright rude, which is also not ok. Kayla 7,595 Posted June 18, 2014 Share Posted June 18, 2014 While I agree with some of this (especially the part that encourages Gaga to do her best), I think the artRAVE has concise theatrics. The videos do it no justice. I went to the Ohio show a month ago and I was blown away by the stage design and the lighting. Her piano was also amazing and all of the flowers popping up were beautiful. And my boyfriend and I really enjoyed how her dancers had awesome costumes instead of just boring ones. The Koons inspired clothes are great to see in person. I also went to the Monster Ball and I do think it's not as stellar in terms of theatrics, however, I think the artRAVE is more enjoyable and the atmosphere encourages people to just have a good time more. It's just a different show. I think the tour fits the album very well, although I feel like the album isn't exactly what she originally wanted. But in terms of what was put out, it works. I will say that the Telephone and Poker face segments were way too short or non-memorable....I can't even really remember anything about them. DWUW, Aura, Venus, BTW, and Applause were all phenomenal live though. This. Videos don't do the show justice. The crowd is so full of energy and I agree with what you said about the dancers! Monster Ball is still hands down my absolute favorite, but I think the artRave deserves more praise. I think the MB show on stage was overall better, but what's cool about the artRave is that it's a very inclusive and energetic experience. With the way the stage is set up, you almost feel like you're part of the show when you're in GA; it's really cool! As far as this little war happening goes, chill out guys. We're all getting ahead of ourselves here. Rollercoaster applied his own vision to the artRave and there's nothing wrong with that. It's like writing a fan fiction or drawing your favorite characters in different ways- he took something Gaga did and wanted to make it his own. There's nothing wrong with that. Rollercoaster, you did get a little rude, but we also understand that you were most likely reacting to the snippy posts you were getting in the thread. There isn't too much anticipation for Gaga on the stage (maybe apart from PN) but it all moves at the same pace. Sara 1,128 Posted June 18, 2014 Share Posted June 18, 2014 I think we should have just had ONE thread called "Things I like or don't like about ARTRave" and combined all these threads into that one.I think what makes fans mad is when 50 different people all think THEIR suggestions for ARTRave are so right that they deserves their own thread, and so we get 50 threads dragging ArtRave and that makes it no fun for people who enjoy ArtRave to be here.It's not that they blindly defend ARTRave. I have said a million times how much I love the artRAVE and I have defended it since the first day. This show is not about theatre. It is about partying. And itis PERFECT for that purpose. I also have said that I would have loved to have the itunes fest performances of Aura and Swine on the show and that's the only thing I would change. What's the problem with that?
