yourfaves 317
I love that you all blindly think the tour has artistic vision. it has near zero artistry. It's supposed to be a rave... with the played-800-times versions of her singles? Yawn. I understand supporting her etc, I do too. But I think, for someone who is trying to build her legend as a live performer, some of the indifference she gives previous singles and some current tracks is only ever going to stifle her goals. What happened to making each track a blossoming of her vision from when it was written? Like... if that's her vision of Donatella then she must have been very uninspired. Let's not even get into the boring "performance by numbers" phoning it in for telephone and poker face. Things like this can be majorly refreshed with a simple remix to fit in and amp up the atmosphere. Right now they are so out of place. But it's nice to know that some fans love everything she does and think we're not allowed to point out ways for improvement or give opinions. Good to know ARTPOP comes with a free lobotomy. Edit: You know, I wrote this lengthy response but you're not even worth it. So imma just pack up and leave this flop thread.
Paper Gangsta 6,693
Replace the BR/Swine/Applause awful costume with something that looks like a catsuit, but when the lights cut out, it lights up like a firework. You are mess. That's the only costume that should stay, only iconic one. Others can go

GoldenNovember 444
The people in this thread should stop attacking the OP. No one deserves to be treated like this for saying an opinion. Where is the kindness and acceptance you always preach? Even if you don't agree with Rollercoaster, you should be respectful and make a conversation without being rude and insulting. Some of you sound so damn pressed and I don't even know why. It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.
Whispering 18,865
Seriously, you should sell your ticket and go out to see a movie or something. If you know, going in, that you dislike the entire concept and feel of the concert, why waste your money and time? Don't willingly go into something you have already written off as boring. Whispering 18,865
. so what you're saying is you didn't read my post and instead decided to join the other responses in being a b---h****? No....I read your post, which was basically a b---hfest about a concert you've seen on youtube videos. What I'm saying is....if you feel that the tour has "zero artistry" and that is your primary goal in attending a concert, why waste your money or your time? If you really believe the things you are saying, why are you even wanting to go? Sell your ticket and find another event...something artsy, that won't make you "yawn" through the whole thing! Don't you have something else you could do with your money and your time, that would be more artistically gratifying and meet your artistic standards? I would like it to measure up to her artistic standard. So are you saying you're 100% overwhelmed by the quality and effort of the way the show was made? While I agree with some of this (especially the part that encourages Gaga to do her best), I think the artRAVE has concise theatrics. The videos do it no justice. I went to the Ohio show a month ago and I was blown away by the stage design and the lighting. Her piano was also amazing and all of the flowers popping up were beautiful. And my boyfriend and I really enjoyed how her dancers had awesome costumes instead of just boring ones. The Koons inspired clothes are great to see in person. I also went to the Monster Ball and I do think it's not as stellar in terms of theatrics, however, I think the artRAVE is more enjoyable and the atmosphere encourages people to just have a good time more. It's just a different show. I think the tour fits the album very well, although I feel like the album isn't exactly what she originally wanted. But in terms of what was put out, it works. I will say that the Telephone and Poker face segments were way too short or non-memorable....I can't even really remember anything about them. DWUW, Aura, Venus, BTW, and Applause were all phenomenal live though.
destructivelove 563
1. That version of Venus sucks... 2. The mj verse has absolutely nothing to do with the theme of DWUW so it seems completely out of place, tacky, and just for shock value. 3. I don't even care to listen to the rest because the first two ideas are awful and last time I checked no one really cares what YOU want at ArtRave when it's gaga's concert and her artistic vision and there are already a bajillion other fans who have their own wishlist I love that you all blindly think the tour has artistic vision. it has near zero artistry. So yes him being "attacked" is quite honestly expected considering he is coming onto a GAGA FANSITE and without any merit saying a work of art by our inspiration has ZERO ARTISTIC VALUE. I can't with you trying to defend him. 👀💅 begone
Whispering 18,865
. I would like it to measure up to her artistic standard. So are you saying you're 100% overwhelmed by the quality and effort of the way the show was made? It did. I attended the artRave three weeks ago and enjoyed it more than TMB. The other people in my party said the same thing. What I am saying is...if my impression of the tour was that it was going to be "boring", "paint by the numbers" and one with "zero artistry"...there is no way I would spend my money and my time attending this concert. Why would you want to, is my question?
