How ARTPOP's Single Releases Should Have Gone

It's a fair collection of votes. No it only allows one vote per person.  I came up with a very similar release style to The Fame. It's not random.

You can not -in any way- prove that this was fair. For one thing only internet users took part in the poll, and I assume all were users on a website you use. Secondly, people could use multiple accounts, browsers or even IPs (Don't underestimate the crazy stans.)

I also do not see how this is in any way like The Fame, and even if it was, music evolves, the same thing is bound to fail a second time.

You can't use statistics and make claims when your sample size isn't random or normally distributed. This data is skewed

No Angel

It's been proven twice that promo singles done by Gaga specifically could possibly throw an era. IT was a minor blow during Born This Way, but it truly messed up ARTPOP.

I'm still surprised she went along and did promo singles this time around.

1. APPLAUSE, #4

2. SWINE, #2 (I'm sorry but I stan for this, with right marketing + epic performance + epic video)

3. VENUS (another epic disco-space-dance video ala born this way)

4. DONATELLA (spring single)

5. GYPSY (mid summer)

With right marketing this could have been executed perfectly.

This thread is stupid. What 72 people think isn't defining at all. It's like stating that heavy metal is a mainstream genre because 72 people said they liked it; it can have been given the casuality that they are metalheads.

Also, i doubt any 'gp' public has voted in here. Only gaga fans and monsters are likely to enter in this kind of pols.

Where's applause tho?

And the most single worthy songs are:

Applause

Aura

Venus

Sexxx Dreams

MANiCURE

DWUW

ARTPOP

Gypsy

Honorable Mentions: :laughga:

Swine

Fashion!

Dope

I'm thinking:

1st Single: Applause

2nd Single: Venus

3rd Single: Do What U Want

4th Single: Sexxx Dreams

5th Single: Gypsy

Perfect!

I actually like the single's choices so far  I just hope Gypsy or Aura will be a single as well.

sometimes i think that little monsters want to harm gaga more than haters do  :omfgaga:

Applause, let's be honest, the only reason why that song had longevity is because it is generically good and it was a LEAD SINGLE, lead singles are always successful in a way or another. If a single was to replace Applause that single should have been Do What U Want. Gaga would get that #1 and those 500k predicted sales.

y'all say what you want, Aura is single material even though it is experimental, the chorus is enough to make up for all that experimenting. the damn song charted without even being a promo single.

gypsy though, what's this obsession. if it ever gets the single treatment its gonna flop worse than G.U.Y. did, bookmark me

it wasn't laaaahv

Disagree.

She should have opened with "Gypsy" and followed with "Do What U Want", two of the strongest tracks for the general public

01. Gypsy

02. Do What U Want

03. Venus

04. ARTPOP

The Taylor Brigade: KNOCKOUT
