Gaga said lots of things as well :spin:

Gaga is her character on the stage. Remember Stefani released Red and Blue but didn't make it big until she became Lady Gaga.

exactly, so why would that user want her to kill the thing that made her big???

Hello I'm new to these boards :unicorn:  !

Let me start off by saying I've been a huge fan of Lady Gaga since The Fame. I've always thought ARTPOP was an ok album from her, but this era has been very depressing as a whole and full of empty promises. I know a lot of things should've been handled more properly yet I feel like Lady Gaga has no damage control and let the criticism on her album get to her far more than they should have. Following the release of the album, everything seemed to be brushed off carelessly. The damn app was hyped up forever only to not serve any purpose (I don't believe that countdown is going to bring anything but more disappointment). The DWUW video never saw the light of day and now there's those rumors that Gaga may scrap Act II. Like what the hell? What happened to "music not the bling"? Release the material on the app for the loyal fans! The album is getting old and after her apology about the beginning of the era being tarnished due to her management, I eagerly awaited the magic to finally flourish and have been disappointed beyond belief. Where is the big flowering going to commence? Why has this era not been able to keep a steady theme throughout, as well? We went from high, simplistic art to Venus paraphernalia to Versace worshiping to raving with sea creatures...? ARTPOP could mean anything, but damn...

. Uhhhh...but all of ARTPOP does sound dated, and it sounds like basic edm that was coming out in 2010-11. Obviously everyone just wants to forget the instrumental she played at the Versace show pre-album release and all of the amazing instrumentals teased through DJWS visions and GagaVisions that everyone was so ****ing pumped about cause they SOUNDED EPIC. New, fresh, innovative, unlike anything anyone has ever heard on radio. And instead we got a bunch of songs that sound like they came off of a 2010 nobody edm singers album. The buildups/breakdowns are weak. Not to mention that breakdowns aren't even "in" in raves. I go to raves weekly. And if they played the tired instrumentals off of ARTPOP they would ****ing laugh at the DJ. There's so much innovative edm underground atm which is why I get so annoyed by the outcome of this album. Please don't attack people delusionally when gaga and zedd clearly "raved" (pun) about how epic and game changing and experimental the music on this album would be. And the only thing we got like that was Aura. And that wasn't even produced by a ****ing producer of this album.

Even though I love the songs we got, I agree with some of what you said. This is Act is very safe. I believe Act I is awesome, but just a teaser for Act II!! If you compare J&D and PN, Jewels & Drugs is like the prequel to Partynauseous.  I don't think there is anything wrong with ARTPOP, but I believe Partynauseous would have been on Act I, if she didn't go with her idea of one act being more experimental.

I'd also go so far to say that Gaga will probably never become relevant again after this - it's hurt her too damn much!

Strongly disagree with this statement but agree with everything else. All music artists have their low points but a lot of them have proven to come out of these phases. I think Gaga will do the same.

I agree with you. I also said from the beginning that GUY is a bad single choice and I also think that the video is not one of her best. The ARTPOP film as a whole is good but the GUY part is very basic, Gaga is not at her best when she is just beautiful, she is not Britney Spears or Katy Perry.

I also said it wasn't a great single.

The GUY video made me love ARTPOP more for a single.  I guess that wasn't the intention, but that was the result.

She just needs to get her act together. I respect her and her work but some very stupid decisions were being made during the era, ones that honestly made no sense. And also, her hyping the album up to be something it wasn't and also confusing everyone with the concept (which, still, nobody understands) hurt it overall. I don't think the album is terrible but it def is not her strongest...probs her weakest.
