There was similarities between the NOT MYSELF TONIGHT video and BAD ROMANCE, but I don't think it was Christina who blatantly wanted to copy Gaga, it was her label and manager wanting to capitalize on what Gaga made popular. But I do think Christina copied Gaga's hairstyle and the hood thing Gaga was doing for KEEPS GETTING BETTER.

Xtina had been working on that album since 2008; it was an unfortunate coincidence.

Not Myself Tonight's video was more of a Madonna top off.

Again, it's embarassing :hehe:

this "article" itself mentions Madonna.

And Christina looked like even before gaga, check her 2006-2007 photos

It looks like 'emabarassing' is the only stupid word you can say. Why did so many people then relate the video to Gaga and thought about her the first time they saw it?

I don't see Xtina wearing crazy makeups, wigs and outrageous outfits before Gaga appeared. Why the hell are you denying Gaga's influence? She created a trend, which was followed by the most of pop girls in that moment.

Get over it.

"Not Myself Tonight's video was more of a Madonna rip off."

[although I actually wrote 'top off' for some reason. Maybe that's the reason for your confusion]

2002. (And yeah, that video suggests a Madonna influence, too.)

No. Xtina was trying to pull off the fembot electropop of Robyn's Body Talk, Kelis' Flesh Tone, and Kylie's Aphrodite. It just didn't work. Her imagery was excessive and striking which is where the Gaga comparisons came in, however I think they were greatly exaggerated because of Perez Hilton. Gaga was the "it" girl of the moment and so credit went to her. But really I think Bionic was a tasteless gay mans Body Talk/Aphrodite/Flesh Tone.

What are you like 13?

Only gaga fans were thinking that, critics and christina herself said it's a tribute to Madonna. And she always had outrageous outfits, check out her videos from 2002-2003, gaga's influence too? you sound exactly like the people who said madonna copied gaga in Girl goen wild :dies:

Oh yes, of course, Xtina was so known for her outrageous outfits...come on...

I still don't get why you're denying Gaga's influence. I do get that thevideo was a Madonna homage and that it was based on Express yourself. Okay, you're right. But there is a clear Gaga influence on that videotoo, or better said, the trend that she started. As well as there was on Rihanna and Katy Perry...
