Why did so many people then relate the video to Gaga and thought about her the first time they saw it? I don't see Xtina wearing crazy makeups, wigs and outrageous outfits before Gaga appeared. Why the hell are you denying Gaga's influence? She created a trend, which was followed by the most of pop girls in that moment. Get over it. blacklistedd 599 Posted June 7, 2014 Share Posted June 7, 2014 No. Xtina was trying to pull off the fembot electropop of Robyn's Body Talk, Kelis' Flesh Tone, and Kylie's Aphrodite. It just didn't work. Her imagery was excessive and striking which is where the Gaga comparisons came in, however I think they were greatly exaggerated because of Perez Hilton. Gaga was the "it" girl of the moment and so credit went to her. But really I think Bionic was a tasteless gay mans Body Talk/Aphrodite/Flesh Tone. But there is a clear Gaga influence on that videotoo, or better said, the trend that she started. As well as there was on Rihanna and Katy Perry...
