The Fame 4,192
I actually do like the album version better. It feels more clean. This one was a bit cacophonous with all her voices chiming in on top of each other. I do agree that the 'newscaster voice' at the beginning would have been cool to leave in, but otherwise I do prefer the studio album version as a whole. Mitch XCX 1,038
I bet all the demos from ARTPOP are better than the album versions, I think gaga overworked them
Retep 0
The intro and outro are everything, I love when songs use old clips for instructional's like Ke$ha did for Dirty Love.

Imagine a cross between the MJH demo and the studio. I still love the song, but there are things she does that kill the quality and it just becomes muddy when she doesn't give herself and follow deadlines. SKANK 14,288
I'm sorry but when people call a song "filler" it makes it sound like she threw the song together last minute and tossed it onto the album... I really wish people would get over call a song "filler" and rather state that they don't like the song. :excuseme: Me labeling Mary Jane Holland a "filler" has nothing to do with whether or not I like it. There are plenty of tracks on ARTPOP that I dislike more then Mary Jane Holland that I wouldn't consider to be fillers; Donatella, Jewels N' Drugs, and G.U.Y. for example. A filler is a song that doesn't add to the record in any substantial way, it's a basic song that was "tossed onto the record" because better material wasn't available. Mary Jane Holland in my opinion is a filler, and probably should have been one of the digital bonus tracks that artists slap onto "deluxe albums" in order to milk money out of fans. I don't particularly dislike Mary Jane Holland. Glad I could clear that up for ya'. I love Mary Jane Holland. For me, ARTPOP's A-story is about an addiction-prone personality hitting bottom twice before finding how to make it work, and it tracks through the whole album. MJH makes me feel the swagger of having all your priorities in the wrong place. EDIT: On topic, I agree with your take on Demo Fever, just not in this case :) That is a pretty interesting take on ARTPOP, I'll keep it in mind when I listen to it again. discotommy 0
I love this demo! It is everything! I listened to it twice and then to the album version again and I felt so much more of an energy from the song after hearing the demo. It definitely made MJH climb up on my Top ARTPOP Tracks list.

Koreku 2,387
There's three links in the Audio section of people who did - check 'em out! Where's the audio section? (Serious question .) You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.
Anomaly 159
Where's the audio section? (Serious question .) Here's a link.
