tokyodisko 0
Once again, what deadlines did she ignore? You keep saying this, but which deadlines did she maliciously and purposely ignore? Gaga's job is to put out music. She has made money for her label with her worldwide album sales, and mostly with her tours and merchandise sales. She is doing her job. There is no reason for this news to be worrisome for Gaga, more than any other artist at Interscope. Jimmy was a knowledgeable and influential label executive. His absence will be missed by all the artists on that label. Once again- look at anything this past fall about ARTPOP. She would talk about her deadlines and extensions. Her team would too. She didn't maliciously ignore them. Stop acting like I'm tearing her apart. ohmygaaawwwd. She just is NOT very prompt or timely with her career anymore. Doesn't mean she isn't doing her job, but she can do her job much better than she has been. She has definitely made them money, especially with the tour, but the rest is very disappointing. They know she has a lot more potential than this era has even remotely let on to. I don't think it's necessarily Gaga's fault, there are many factors, but it is indeed still something that needs to be kept in check. Also, merch sales.... sooooo... basically just tour merch? She had a really lackluster merch deal and promotions this era. Of course it's still making money, but how many times do you see anywhere carrying a Gaga shirt in the store? Pretty much never since early BTW. If the new man in charge isn't as fond of Gaga, yeah, it could be a bad thing. Declining sales = declining budget = declining tour = a cycle that will be harder to break out of. I strongly think one reason Gaga trusted Interscope with her vision to begin with is because of Iovine. Hopefully the successor will be just as great for Gaga as Iovine was. We won't know for a while.

We won't know for a while. She didn't ignore them. Gaga gave them an album as soon as she was back to good health. (which was well within the two to three year span that is typical and expected) Merchandise sales mentioned directly after referring to the tour, would obviously be referring to merchandise sold during the tour stops. The new guy will be just fine with one of their top 3 artists on the label. She isn't in danger of losing her contract or of being one of the artists the new guy has to worry about. Gaga is still making them a ton of money...way more than the majority of the other artists on their rooster. Don't worry. I'm sure the new guy will appreciate an artist like Gaga! monketsharona 80,271
I think from Judas on things kind of fell apart, so maybe this is for the better I have the same feeling. If you look closely her biggest hits were before Judas was picked as single...
