Gimme a break, nobody is bashing her, she is doing it on her own already. It doesn't matter if its Backtracking, or if she is taking a break as some pointed out, during the choruses. When she is moving lips and i can't hear her real voice it is per se lipsynching. We all know that she has an incredible voice but that doesn't change the fact that she often doesn't sing her choruses and thats what people have been complaining for a long time. TimisaMonster 31,073 Posted May 20, 2014 Share Posted May 20, 2014 personally i don't have a problem with her using backing tracks and not singing all the lyrics.. because when she DOES sing... she belts it out as loud and as hard as she can... I'm a vocalist, myself, and have performed hundreds of times.. and I know from experience that it takes a LOT of energy to sing... Just singing itself.. I'm not even considering the amount of energy that she pumps in with her dancing combined with singing... But just to sing takes a lot of energy, and it can be exhausting. Especially belting out over such a huge, loud soundsystem.. Competing with that level of noise.. it's unimaginable to me, to sing over that much noise, combined with the noise from the audience.. I'm surprised she hasn't gone deaf. So, I honestly think it's super smart of her to save her voice for the sections of the songs where her voice can really come forward and she can actually be heard and not have to compete as much... Besides, we all know what an amazing vocalist she is.. she has absolutely NOTHING left to prove in that department. Video recordings muffle the sound and make it seem like the playback is so loud, and that we can't even hear her real voice. However, when you are there live, that is not the case. Her live vocals during the choruses are strong and clearly evident. And the playback is at the perfect volume. Don't say she lipsyncs without actually being at one of her shows. Cuz if u actually attended one of her shows, she'd prove to u in within the first 10min that she does not lipsync and that she probably never will. I even have evidence of this. For example, how come we never hear her real voice during the chorus of Sexxx Dreams but only heard her live vocals during the Roseland performance of that song? It's cuz that was a professional recording, which proves my point. Never said she can't sing or isn't tired, I just wish it wasn't for MOST of the songs... See above quote. Britney is literally one of the very few major pop stars who doesn't sing live. I will never understand why Gaga supports her despite saying things like "pop stars shouldn't fvcking lip synch."
