BUT, this is good, because people know shes still around, in the background but she still makes noise, next year, with Cheek to cheek, everything is going to change, it will be a brainwash for the world to make them forget about all those things and realize that Gaga = talent, and thats the perfect set up for the next full era. bookmark me, her next era after C2C will be her biggest one yet, ARTPOP is like a free era for her, like an experiment

tbf though, I only listen to G.U.Y and sometimes DWUW from ARTPOP now. Even MJH has gotten a little boring. I can still listen to most of Born This Way, TFM and TF and the remix albums and it still sounds fresh. ARTPOP aged fast imo. It wasn't her best work.

it's because it was already aged when she put it out. ARTPOP was a 2012/very early 2013 album, like it was planned to be

Well it kinda has flown under the radar, if u ask random people on the street only a few Will know it and even that's caus of the Grammys, without that performance literally no one would know about it, outside of the US the album hasn't done great, the singles obviously didn't hav any impact , and her target audience (teens) still don't really know who Tony is, just some old jazz singer gagas singing with, for a jazz album it has done great but my comment was in response to people thinking it would be stupidly big like it was a solo gaga album

No, it wasn't set up to fail. BTW's musical quality was the start of a decline that continued in ARTPOP.

 

Notice how Garibay and DJWS didn't receive any critical acclaim as producers like RedOne did after TF/TFM, despite BTW's huge sales? Even their gems (TEOG, Government Hooker, HML) worked for Gaga, but weren't sounds that had widespread appeal or would work for anyone else. I feel bad being negative about it, but it's the truth.

 

The only songs I regularly hear from the GP are TEOG, Y&I, and sometimes DWUW. But they're not played anywhere near the amount of her classics (JF, PF, LG, BR, Alejandro).
