Will Gypsy save ARTPOP?

I THOUGHT about how she made DWUW a single after minimal success. The single change shows that she did in fact try to save ARTPOP by making a song that seemed promising (and already charted) a single. 

 

She can't save ARTPOP even if she tried and we all know that.

I think radio is highly biased when it comes to Top 40 spins. They play everything off of "hit albums" and refuse to play singles from albums that are perceived as unpopular. After the lackluster performance of "G.U.Y." I think they will write off all future ARTPOP singles. It only takes one poor performer to sink a whole album's momentum. Look at Bangerz. "Adore You" did only okay-ish and it seems like the label has decided to move on from it.

Im not sure they will even put out another single look what happened to g.u.y. singles are meant to promote the album and no one brought the last single and the album isnt doing great the only reason i can see her doing a 4th single would be because of the tour tbh the only songs that would save ARTPOP "chart wise" would either be gypsy or MANiCURE

The social justice warriors are going to come out of the woodwork again in regards to gypsy being a racial slur and it will make headlines and be the same kind of detractor that r.kelly was for do what u want. its a subdued controversy but one that will make its presence known enough for the song not to flourish.

I always come back to this, I have a measured concern, just how you described it.

It is not ARTPOP that needs saving, is is the deniers who need to be lead into the light by the ethereal sounds of Gypsy (or any other song she may release as a single). God bless, and keep those who deny the holy ARTPOP in your prayers. X

Honestly I feel 'no' but anything can happen. A short video with good promo can maje it a big summer hit. That's unlikely to happen though!

Most of you guys are delusional and so out of touch with what the GP likes. These are the same people who said G.U.Y. was going to be a hit. Guess what? G.U.Y flopped because it is not a good song... only a fan would appreciate it, similarly to most songs in ARTPOP. G.U.Y only became a single because so many annoying fans campaigned for it. Gypsy is the only song in the album that is actually universally appealing. It is a pop classic! Everyone will love it and it will be a big hit on the radio, even without too much promotion, because that's what good pop songs are like... they dont even need a video to back it up. It should have been the second single from day one. Comparing G.U.Y to Gypsy and saying that if G.U.Y didnt succeed, Gypsy shouldnt succeed just shows that you havent got a clue of what good pop music is. The only thing I hope is that if she makes a video for Gypsy, that it doesnt include images from the tour because that would be wayyyy too cliché and that song deserves a better video.
