mic 1,415
Aura is the best song on ARTPOP and could make a smash comeback instead of Applause. I would still release it, it's silly that you all suggest that anything ARTPOP connected would flop nowadays. My reasons why guy is flop: -GUY is one of the worst singles gaga ever released - it's video was too long so there was no stream - GP don't care about song about bottoming - the song has no energy - gaga wasn't promoting it at all. Aura's theme and beat is awesome for young GP because they love everything badass. Not everyone like songs about bottoming and knowing that you can still be strong. Take it to account little bottoms. Kayhan 7
I love Aura since the day it has leaked. Gaga has nothing to lose with this era anymore. So why not? And also we know if DH didnt have bass drops, it would flop
HORRORHOLIC 109
Aura is a masterpiece but its not single material imo. I think the reason most people don't consider it single material is why it would have done so well.
VforVendetta 2,024
I think the reason most people don't consider it single material is why it would have done so well. It is very difficult for it to become a successful single because the song is very radio-unfriendly for many reasons. The aggressive production, the strange lyrics, the structure of the song etc. Of course noone can predict for sure what the public wants but if we follow the main rule about a hit then Aura is no single material (maybe except if it was a lead single). dontbesweet 7
But it leaked like 9 months ago. Over it.
crownlessking 158
Aura should've been single #1. I think it'd flop now.
Creyk 17,931
Only if they cut the intro and release it with the vocals from the demo version. And btw....if Selfie could do well, so can this

I see what you're saying but I still disagree. It's true, Aura doesn't follow the main rule of what a single should be, and again like I said that's why it would stand out and exactly why I said for months G.U.Y. wouldn't. G.U.Y. does follow the main rule, as do most of the songs being played on the radio, so why would anyone pay attention ? What makes it stand out from the others ? I said people would say "cool, another Gaga song" and move onto whatever came next and that's pretty much exactly what happened. A song like Aura is completely different, sure it doesn't follow the rule, but neither did Bad Romance. If it was the 1st single people would have been excited because it was new Gaga, it would have been played regardless because it was new Gaga too, and when it comes to her I think people already know to expect things might be a little different. So yeah, they would have been like WTF ? but because the quality of the song they would have kept listening. Chelsea Handler and her guests recently talked about how the problem with Gaga was that for someone as outrageous as she seems to be, her songs are pretty basic, I don't necessarily agree with that but when it comes to some of her singles I can see why they would say that. Only if they cut the intro and release it with the vocals from the demo version. And btw....if Selfie could do well, so can this Cutting the intro would do the song no favors, the intro is one of the main things that make it stand out. A lot of you guys seem to think her having songs that sound like everything else is the answer. Why would anyone wanna hear Gaga if she sounds like everyone else ? They already have their favorites to listen to if they wan't that.

GUY is not a good song imo. In the ARTPOP film it was the least good song of the 4 with difference. Everyone has said the same thing outside of this fanbase. Yes I agree Aura is ambitious and a very good song. The song is not friendly for the public, they can't appreciate it. It could become successful but the odds are against it. A song for example that is unique like Aura but has much more chances to become a hit is Venus.
HORRORHOLIC 109
Venus would have done pretty good too, I agree with that.
LoveandMagic 1,731
I don't think it would do well as a single, but I love Aura and would love to see a MV for it. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
Bloody hooker 6,445
I think Aura could do better than GUY. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
Koreku 2,387
GP is so stubborn about no DWUW video that they won't pay further attention to Gaga unless the video releases. Just release the video then she can just move on with her career. not hard tbh You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.
