Paper Gangsta 6,693
I don't think Aura would appeal to the same audience Avicii has though... (I think that's what you were implying) Im an Electro House fan and Aura is one of my fave songs.
Ladey Gagz 2,512
Im an Electro House fan and Aura is one of my fave songs. Well aren't you a Gaga fan too though? I really don't think Aura is similar enough to Aviciis work to think that people who like Avicii would like Aura too. Who knows though I may be wrong Ya never know

Who knows though I may be wrong Ya never know Well Avicii isn't only artist who he talked about. Avicii is probably one of the most mainstream/radio friendly/generic ones and as we know Aura isn't. And yes i a Gaga fan duh but because of her edm/artistic side

DeleteMyAccount 11,881
It comes down to whether or not you think the GP would actually request this on the radio. And I don't think they would.
Bleachella 2,932
This promotion seems like a bit much i think gaga knows this era isnt doing well, its a lost cause.

HORRORHOLIC 104
Aura should have been the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd single. I've talked about this a million times now. I've said how the general public would have been like WTF ? at first but it was different than anything else being played on the radio and would have stood out and caught on instead of being lost in the shuffle as just another Gaga song. When people said G.U.Y. would "SLAY" I explained why it wouldn't and well, I was right. The GP needed another WTF moment from Gaga to shake things up a bit. That said, if Aura was released as a single now it wouldn't have much of an impact. None of the songs would right now. It would be cool to have it as a single but as for making the impact it could have, that ship has sailed. Gaga has released a bunch of singles now and the general public have already made up their minds of what Gaga sounds like this era and it doesn't matter which song (even Aura) that would be released next, it wouldn't catch on at this point. I agree with the first part but I think lots of people never even heard about G.U.Y. or even DWUW so it's maybe still not too late for Aura ARTFLOP is DEAD. Deal with it. wahkeenasitka 1,995
I love Aura. But it is definitely not pop radio friendly. I mean, it was originally built as a psytrance track by Infected Mushroom; it's too intense for the general public.
VforVendetta 2,024
Aura is a masterpiece but its not single material imo.

Who would've thought it could almost reach the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100... It's way more intense than Aura imo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCYcHz2k5x0&feature=kp It doesn't have to be radio friendly if it's a hit... GVGV 6
I think the only way Aura could have been a single is if it was the lead single. Gaga's comeback was so highly anticipated that whatever was released as the first single was bound to do well. Besides that, Aura really appeals to the EDM/Dance scene which is extremely popular at the moment.
