Actually sort of upset they released a short album and didn't have like 3-5 legit bonus tracks

I hate to say this for fear of rotten tomatoes hurled at me, but I was expecting more melodic and substantial "hits", like the variety and even pace of Rock Steady, like, more of a driven flow. Things tend to peter out and get weirdly repetetive after a certain point on the album.

Also wanted faster songs and more Ska haha.

OFF TOPIC -- Push And Shove so so so reminded me lyrically for a second of this rare 1991 Disneyland demo by a very young No Doubt: "Where's Your Lovin'?" http://www.mediafire.com/?t4mqs3xd7cb3n3t

I'm doing it for something

I think it's your lovin

Your huggin' your kissin' you're sweet tender lovin'

The thought of you comin' makes me come a runnin'

I ran all the way just-a pushin' and shovin'

Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/UWuzumk

Most critics have said the sounds just run together after the first 5-6 songs.

The copy of the leak I downloaded was corrupt so I haven't been able to listen to it, I won't hear it until I get the CD between classes.

Although based off the previews, I wish more songs were uptempo.

I agree with you, I was hoping for more. who knows though, we might get an Everything In Time 2 or something one of these days.

Sorry it was corrupt, i got mine from KingAlan1/RoyalJester who so kindly untorrented it and uploaded.

Thinking of going to Target today and picking up a copy :)

It doesn't really bleed together to me at all, though I can sort of understand how it does for some people, because this is an album with a very, very focused aesthetic. Like, Push and Shove, Looking Hot, Settle Down, Sparkle, and Undone--those five sort of do their own thing, but the other six tracks all explore a very specific strain of 80's inspiration. I personally find that a strength--it's just a very rigorously explored aesthetic, and they pull it off beautifully. For me, each of those songs sort of feeds off each other. Easy, One More Summer, and Dreaming the Same Dream form this sort of dreamy, nostalgia-soaked trifecta, and they're just perfect.

Gah. I love this album so, so much.

I do like it a ton. I missed Gwen's unique quaver so so so so much. her voice is legendary. I think I need to listen to it more for it to start growing on me more.

One Five Ten

Love the video for P&S apart from so many shots of Gwen alone stroking her hair looking like a vampire :flop:

But other than that it just looks like they're having fun singing along to their song looking hot in black and white, and there's nothing wrong with that!
