No one would be crying "SHADE SHADE!!" unless there was some basis in reality for the accusation. FACT. It seems everyone can shade Gaga freely and she is just supposed to take it because a whole bunch of fans are confused about what online kindness means. I wouldn't be so sure tbh. I think it's fair to assume it's a direct comment referencing those things from Katy's tour. And even if she was referencing what others are saying, the mere fact of her commenting on it in the way that she did suggests she agrees with it, and adds fuel to the fire. With a fanbase as big as this she has a responsibility and an exemplary role. A good part of the Little Monster fanbase is already way to hateful without Gaga grabbing onto the pitchfork herself. Its an unnecessary drama, just like It was an absolutely unnecessary thing for gaga to say. Yet here we are. So where do we go from here? We completely ignore it? And then what, drag katy when she does the exact same thing in the future, or any other artist that 'commically' suggests that gaga copied her? Or will we ignore it too? Isn't it much better, for everyone's sake, to just admit that it brought much more trouble than it was worth, and dont do it again? I guess that would be the right #promotenlinekindness thing to do. I can't at you children not understanding the difference. She did not name call or bully, she stated facts that you closet Katy Keene stans can't handle. Again, defending yourself and your work does not violate the rules of online kindness. If she had called her Katy Keene and accused her being a reductive talentless wanker, then yes, she'd be in the wrong. But she didn't say anything like that. She stated something factual.
