Receipts? :whitney:

I dont deny it xD some of their music is very catchy, but its also quite vapid.

I kinda disagree, but whatever that's your opinion and I respect it :kissga:

I think Hatsune Miku looked better in that video with the big festival/concert thing  I like anime and the styles of characters so I'll probably be stood there enjoying it anyway :excited: Can't say the same for everyone unfortunately, but at least they'll have time to go to the bathroom or get a drink :laughga:

They're using a much smaller and more portable screen than usual because they have to be able clear the stage in a few minutes. The configuration makes it more obvious that it's a screen, which ruins the effect a bit. Gaga's unusually high stage isn't helping either, as people on the floor can't see Miku's feet on the stage, so you lose a depth queue. Also they are using just two projectors instead of the four they had at Magical Mirai.  The projectors cost about $80K each.

Another issue is that Miku is doing three full concerts in Indonesia later this month for MikuExpo, at the exact same time that she'll be with Gaga in Seattle and Vancouver. So Crypton are having to split their resources for this tour.

On the plus side, fans will soon be able to have their own Miku hologram in the palm of their hand. For around $5 you'll be able to get a Miku holobox (and a piece of gum!) that lets you play some of the same songs as used in the Gaga concerts - possibly with the same animation.  Very cute. These will sell quickly :)

Wow, and it's extremely cheap for what it is!

Loving the idea. I'm gonna buy lots of those before they get sold... :gum:

And I'm not even a Miku fan, but I just find it really innovative and interesting.

Well, it's basically a colourful cardbox box with a piece of clear plastic in it at a 45-degree angle. You need a smartphone with internet to get it to do anything.

You could actually make your own fairly easily. There are dozens of "hologram ready" Miku videos on youtube that should work, and I just noticed that the plastic lid to a container of cherry tomatoes I bought today could be cut to make an excellent reflector.

EDIT TO ADD: I spoke too soon. PVC packaging has too many imperfections. You need something thicker. An unscuffed clear plastic CD jewel case lid works, but could be hard to cut to shape.
