We didn't see Hatsune in Ft. Lauderdale, but Starlight's DJ set was WAY too long! That was my only complaint about the show though. Honestly, I hardly ever see an opening act I genuinely enjoy at concerts, so I just try to get into it and dance and not be rude to the opening act who's just there trying to do their job.

The crowd could be more festive tho,

but maybe they were stunned, amused, or amazed by

the technology they never knew before. :fan:

Random Miku Fan

The lights are so bright you can't see the hologram on stage but the music is still going anyways

@andrew_kills  4m

The crowd doesn't really know how to take the opener? Several people really dancing, most people just standing there

@TheLewsur sec 212! Watching this terrible opening act lmfao

FAT CAT â€@TheLewsur  11m

@andrew_kills LMAO ME TOO

Obviously not everyone will like Miku, but I must point out that was just one person tweeting three times and then a "me too"  :P

Twitter responses were pretty positive from what I saw.  For example:

Whitni Lasseter â€@WhitniLasseter

Hatsun Miku is amazing :) a new favorite! #artRAVE #ARTPOP #HatsuneMiku #loud #Atlanta

Keenan Wilson â€@KWFlawless

Hatsune Miku is FLAWLESS! Now we're waiting for Mother Monster to take the stage. #artRAVE #Atlanta

✖CRYSTAL ALEJANDRO✖ â€@ItsCrystalBxtch

DUDE!!!!!! I wasn't excited about the hologram **** but it was INSANE! artRAVE!

Miku fans meanwhile, even some of the naysayers, think this went really well, all things considering.  Logistically there was really no way to put Miku's full projection rig and live band on the stage for a 30 minute set when you only have a few minutes to clear. So it was more Miku-lite than the full experience.

On the plus side:

- Miku's setlist was pretty good. So many fans were freaking out with worry about this - you have no idea.

- two new songs in concert for the first time. Both were in English which I think is great incentive for creators to work more with Miku English. (honestly - if you made a list of Miku's 3000 most popular songs, there wouldn't be an English one among them - she really needs a proper English hit).

- all new arrangements for at least two songs

- Miku's dancing looked really sharp, much more dynamic than the last concert. I just hope she can keep it up and doesn't hurt herself :P

I love gags for choosing Hatsune as an opening act, it so fits the concept of this era imo

I can understand if you dont like it but I've seen people callin it messy and stupid. Respect Japan and their technology. When you develop a highly sophisticated singing computer program and hologram system then you can Judge. Pfft

Say goodnight, angel eyes

HORRORHOLIC

I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's kind of a neat idea for a one time thing, but but the last thing the music industry needs is to take even more of the human element out of it.
