HORRORHOLIC 104
A lot of Gaga fans are complaining while a lot of the GP are praising the artRave. Also, most of those fans started to become a stan during BTW era when Gaga was so preachy. Sorry folks, that dramatic era is already over, not to mention that era messes Gaga's career after the Judas release. First of all the GP might be praising it because these are the types of shows they are used to seeing, I've read a lot of people compare it to Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj. Gaga fans are complaining because they know what she's done in the past and what she's capable of and see this as a step down. Everyone should be able to have an opinion. Would you rather everyone just blindly praise this tour if they don't feel it lives up to her past tours instead of giving an honest opinion ? And you really wanna put down BTW era while compairing it to this era ? I love the music but things haven't exactly been going so smoothly have they. I became a fan long before the BTW era by the way. artRave is alot more like early Gaga than the dark colors, preachy, and yes, occasionally melodramatic Gaga. She's coming for the GP weaves next album. This tour is nothing like early Gaga, I think the Fame and Fame Monster tours had A LOT more in common with the BTW tour. I think TF and pre-Fame Gaga is a lot like this show. I love the simplicity of the stage. Just because it isn't the aesthetic that fans, mainly BTW fans, are used to, doesn't mean it has any less value. It's not what she has done before on a tour and that's great. She wants to be more accessible again and this is a good way to do it. Fans won't all be happy one way or another, so after an era and a half of BTW's darkness the neon and rave gear are very much welcomed by me. She looks so much happier than she did during the BTW tour imo. People blindly praised ARTPOP as well, soooooooo.... you're just in the revolving door of Gaga's cycle. I may have complained about some of BTW's aesthetic and ARTPOP's "era" itself, but I stuck around because this Gaga would come back. And she's here. DarkGa will be back eventually too. I don't see the point in comparing her to Katy or Nicki... Bright colors and a smaller stage? Sure. Isn't it about the music and Gaga giving a great performance more than anything else? Gaga's early performances were pure energy, fun, and talent. That's what she is doing this tour.

It is, and as much as I'm all for the big theatrics, I would rather see her do a completely stripped down show than what she's doing on this tour to be honest. I think the props and costumes being used on this tour actually distract from the music while the ones used on previous tours complimented it. I think the costumes are absolutely fitting for the environment she is creating in this tour. The only crazy outfits are the blue inflatable one and the raver one which are my favorites, because they're so much fun. The rest, especially the black latex, are more normal. VforVendetta 2,024
I personally am a bigger fan of the BTWB meamings, messages and darkness but Gaga can't do that in every Era, she is changing with every album. The show has nothing to do with a Katy Perry show just because its colourful or because its a party show.

Believe me I hate to compare them, but there are other pretty obvious similarities to the Teenage Dream tour. I'm not saying it's intentional but I can see why people have said it. fede ARTPOP 6,737
Now that is a damn lie. Gaga says put your hands and jump too much tbh yes and love that...is like a real concert!! nothing like Britneys concerts Believe me I hate to compare them, but there are other pretty obvious similarities to the Teenage Dream tour. I'm not saying it's intentional but I can see why people have said it. true...I cant belive Gaga looks like Katty Perry no w :( and id be mad if the PrismaticTour out shines artRAVE MAYHEM / ARTPOP

(which I personally dislike)

Rainbowgynous 0
Whatever Gaga decides to do, I will find the awesome in it. Because I trust her so much as an artist that I'm convinced the awesome has to be there, even if I can't see it at first. Maybe I'm just blinded by my expectations or preferred style. Psychedelic 1,098
Fans that became stans during the BTW era are most critics, I can hardly bear their opinions! It's nothing against the BTW era, it's my favorite album... it's just that monsters that became fans in this era are so preachy!
Creyk 17,805
World war III & IV combined in the LMZ queue if she'd do that + GA trying to slaughter LMZ to get up front (AKA WWV). I mean, even at a small venue like Roseland, with almost solely dedicated fans, it was impossible to be the first GA/last LMZ row without getting into fist fights (literally) over people trying to physically push through you to get to the front. Imagine them having their hearts set on autographs and their eye on the prize... MESS It would be so beautiful
