It just bothers me that she endlessly talked about being addicted to d--gs and overcoming it-even writing Dope- and saying that she doesn't need d--gs to be creative and now there's all these references to it. Does Dope mean anything to her anymore if the show is full of references to something she "doesn't need"? i hear what youre saying. theres a way to adapt the styles and influences of rave culture without having to allude to d--gs. maybe shell create that dialogue about d--g use that the music itself does- take mary jane holland for example. its a fun, weed glamor type song but the fun soon comes to a halt with dope, which highlights the darker part of d--g use, and how its not the solution, and you can lose everything. maybe thatll play a part in the show. or, she just likes the imagery lol. i sort of view it the same way as her religious references; its influenced her all her career yet she disagrees with some of the cultural vices of it. And I hope this raver atmosphere doesn't get her back into d--gs. Other than that, she looks great. why r u talking about d--gs references?
