You are just now catching on to this? lol The difference between girls and a bunch of young gay guys, tbh.

This fanbase is terrible, as far as organization and consistent support goes. The Disney girls, American Idols or X Factor contestants, and anyone with a fanbase of young girls is going to have a HIGHLY ORGANIZED, POSITIVE and SUPPORTIVE fanbase! They are also a lot happier, as they tend to enjoy the music and fun along the way!

The diva pop girls have a large gay fanbase, who stan mostly for success first and foremost! Many of the fanbase members have their own self worth tied up in how well a pop star does or if she "slays".  Therefore, if their special pop girl's song or album does badly, it is a direct insult to them. Because they are so young and immature, they turn it back on the artist and take it out on her.

Instead of just walking away from a situation that they are frustrated with or no longer interested in, they can't let it go. The whole cycle is a sign of immaturity and frustration/unhappiness with themselves.

Which is why we have members here that loved the "old" Gaga and don't  really care for her music now, but instead of just jumping ship they stay and complain about every single little thing they don't like. Why isn't she bringing her old team back, why isn't she making another BR, why can't she top her VMA performance and on and on. You don't have to  like everything she does, we aren't supposed to, but why stay and keep following someone you don't like?

Gaga cares about the charts. Don't be fooled. She doesn't want to care, but she has to if she wants to keep funding her art.

Yah, never understand people who could buy a record to support Gaga but didn't and still call themselves a fan.

Sorry, but this is such a crap, major crap. Nobody would care for the success if the stars wouldn't be so happy about every achievement they make and wouldn't let us forget that they want success. No matter who it is, and yes even Gaga.

She was the one made tweets about buying Applause, requesting it, watching the MV, buying the Album and so on. She even posted a pic celebrating 1.000.000 shipped album with her dad drinking champagne.

Oh and don't forget the guilt train, everytime something is made, it's always "Glad you like it, it was expensive" (Parfume commercial), or how much the G.U.Y. Video costed.

They all play with us how they want and only cause we care for them so much is why it bothers us so much, and that is just human.

@Topic

You should only do what you feel like to do. I bought 2 Albums and my job is done.

If you care about Gaga's chart positions and whatever then yes you should purchase her music and/or request her songs on the radio, if you don't then you don't need to do anything

Yup, a few of them on this very thread lol

I'm sorry, I just can't take people seriously who still claim that the problem with this era is the music. There is some serious garbage flooding up the charts and iTunes right now, folks, and the weakest songs from this album have more imagination and creativity behind them.

It's been over four years now....it isn't happening!

What does this say about you, that you have spent four years, wanting an artist to stay the same and wanting a situation to stay the same, when that is not what she wanted. What does it say about you that you are still here, (if this is really what you are waiting on) being miserable and pining away for the past. Would you stay in a romantic relationship for four years that no longer made you happy? If so, that says something about you, not the other person. If you were in a job that made you miserable, and could find another one to support yourself, would you stay in the one that made you miserable?

Might as well learn now, you have choices. No one is making you stay in a fandom or forcing you to follow a pop star! :fail:

Gaga's poor decision making is hers to make. Releasing G.U.Y. was not a good choice. It's not generic by any means but it isn't her best song off ARTPOP. My honest opinion is Gaga is just a little thrown off by ARTPOP's reception and her shady team so she won't be back to her normal self until her tour starts.

Also, this online kindness campaign is directly related to the other pop girls teams sabotaging her. If you believe all this stuff about people being friends and all that, you are naive. Gaga is still the artsy kid from school who's getting picked on by the mean girls, except in the pop world, you get the media and your team to bully for you. That is the way of the industry. I have friends in it.

ARTPOP has some of my favorite Gaga songs of all time. I support her and will buy and request her stuff when I can. You can't force this fanbase to be positive any more than you can stop them from acting like freaks on Twitter.

Best just keep moving. There's nothing to see here.

When did I say that? I never said I wanted her to stay the same.

She had some great moments during the BTW/ARTPOP era, but back then her work was much more consistant in showing how great she was.. and much higher quality IMO. I want the consistancy she had during TF era back because that's what I feel is hurting her now.

I do agree that we're a pretty lazy fanbase atm, but I wouldn't take that much credit for Gaga's success in the past

At the end of the day, its about the gp. We all could could request , buy, view a video, whatever all day long but if the gp doesn't lap it up, its for naught, artists can't only depend on their fan base to stay on top, its a mix of gp and the fan base. Otherwise everyone would be no. 1. Just face it she's in a lull with the gp right now. It sucks but it is what it is.if u want to request GUY a million times, go ahead. Me myself I'm gonna enjoy the music she's given us and have fun at the artRave.
