Is this just becoming a messy thing of people wanting to superimpose their thoughts over cultural ideals yet again because they have no experience raising a child? 31 countries have banned it in homes. No matter cultural differences, people inherently have certain rights. There's also a notion of children's rights. Regardless of the culture, this shouldn't be happening. I don't care if they don't live in my country, no one should be hit by their parent. It just shows a lack of engagement. They're not being a parent. Exactly, this is all about bad parenting, when I did something wrong my parents would talk to me, explain to me the situation, and I was never punished in any way, no hitting, no taking away my tv, not locking me in or something, those are just bs excuses for bad parents who dont know how to talk with their children, I never needed violence to understand whats right from wrong I know many people my age with abusive parents that either became bullies, suck at school, and just act like rebels, while ALL the people I know who didnt go through any abuse, are great, succesful, good at school, etc etc Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

A child is not born criminal or all of the sudden by accident robs a person. If this happens, years earlier somewhere down the line you’ve made a slip up. Beating a kid is like disciplining an outcome of issue rather then making sure the underlining issue is resolved. You’re too late if your kid “needs a beating†because it’s badmouthing.
