No child deserves a parent who is too lazy to actually communicate and teach them how to properly function. This. The thinking of some of these people is just... There is no place for physical punishment when parenting. You're a terrible, and an impatient parent if you can't see any other way. I know for SURE my kids will never get physical punishment. feelitinmybones 0 Posted April 26, 2014 Share Posted April 26, 2014 My mother used to hit me on the hand with the wooden spoon but she would be very calm and explain why she was, it would never be in the heat of the moment, she would calm down first so she wasn't hitting me out of anger, and even then it only happened when I was being out of control. I learnt my lesson and I am very respectful of my mother, unlike a lot of kids now. But this mother went WAY too far, to the point of abuse. I mean I never would of dreamt of putting nudes on the internet at 12 years old, because my mother communicated with me. There is a HUGE difference between discipline (my mother for example) and abuse (this mother). My girlfriends mother slapped her a lot and gave her the belt like this and now my girlfriend has so little respect for her mother and wants nothing to do with her. You never know the dangers on the internet. Every parent has a different way of parenting, sadly not all of them are the best way. I'm not saying I approve of the whipping, but she obviously did it for a reason and imo she took it too far as well. This girl is young so the parent is still somewhat responsible for that. Beating her to that extreme was bad enough but posting it online just makes her look like an awful parent (and awful at handlings situations) AND her kid is already's naked on the internet Lose, lose situation.
