The fact that so many people on here are saying this is okay is downright disgusting. NOBODY should have to go through that much physical pain from a parent. I was so enraged watching that video and some of you people are saying it's okay!? It won't do her harm!? Idc if I'll get stoned for this bc I'm newish or whatever but if you can watch that video and say that the poor girl deserved it then you're an appalling person. Just, no.

Nobody has said that what this mother did was ok.

I think the mother over did the whopping... she should have stopped after like 3 minutes in... the end was too much. But serves her right. Do you think this girl will ever post nudes again? NOPE. Getting hit with a built is effective to be quite honest. I hope the girl learned her lesson.

This is the most disgusting thing I've read in a long time. How dare you say such a thing when it is proven that physical harm is damaging the psychological condition of a human as well? Do you even know what the word humanity means? What the woman is doing to her daughter in this video is disgusting, vile and utterly despicable. Every beat with that belt is an unforgivable intrusion into that girls right of physical inviolability. Every human being has this right, and just because this girl posted nude pictures of herself on Facebook it doesn't giver her mother nor anyone else the right to hurt her in any way. This is making me mad and I won't hold back, because it is people like you and many others in this thread that are the reason why this world will probably never move on to the next stage of civilization. Before we can achieve a world running on social virtues we'll have destroyed each other, because of people like you whom according to it's ok to beat someone for education. Disgusting!

This message if for anyone who says it's ok for the mother to beat her child.

Read my other posts. I think this mother over did it, but think that a slap on the butt doesn't hurt either. My god, some of you are being so dramatic. This woman abused the girl, I think we all agree on that?

They're talking about physical punsihment in general.

"I think the mother's punishment was just fine."

"But serves her right. Do you think this girl will ever post nudes again? NOPE."

"I mean the mom isn't wrong for it..."

So 'general' that they all mention "the mother" or "her"? No.

Hitting a child with anything is archaic and disgusting conduct, you are supposed to teach children right from wrong, not beat in into them.

Yes I do. What else can you mean by "serves her right", exactly? The girl gets whipped into a corner multiple times and it "serves her right"?

She learned her lesson, but if you read before I said I think this mother went too far. It would have been fine if she had just hit her a few times and scolded her.

Oh... so she got whipped by her parent long enough for her to cower in fear but AT LEAST SHE LEARNT HER LESSON GUYS.

No.

She shouldn't have hit her at all, full stop.

I can't believe so many people have been whipped and that there are people who think this is just fine :wtf:

I'd have ran away from home and gone to the police and be placed in a different family right away :wtf:

Well, unfortunately she's a violent parent.

I GUARANTEE that woman's mother beat her like that also. She knows exactly how it feels.

You're probably right. Such a disappointment that humans in different areas of the world behave in such ways.

I think this mother went too far with it but I wouldn't say this form of discipline is abuse (hitting your child with a belt). My mother hit me with a belt a couple of times and do you think I misbehaved again? No. Parents these days are actually too lenient imo.

I agree that parents can be too lenient. However the mother in the video didn't organize the punishment at all. It was born out of anger which is wrong, especially when teaching discipline. I could understand whacking her on the ass with it, but she was just swinging it everywhere. One wrong swing and she could have blinded or scarred her daughters face. Not to mention the daughter is waaay too old for that kind of punishment.

I completely agree. Unfortunately, some in this thread think I'm inhumane and condone child abuse now :smh:

Also, the APA has stated that corporal punishment is an effective immediate solution for misbehavior. They amend that serious constant punishment over time MAY have effects, but they are unknown if it will surface in the child, or if it will even affect the child. So in short, hitting your child is effective (as long as you don't overdo it constantly) and will be an effective means of controlling the child. If constant exposure to it occurs, then there may be psychological issues.

I doubt this woman even hits her child that often, but she probably has given her numerous warnings to not send photos to boys, not stick her ass out in pictures, etc. That worked so well when her child, who's probably 14, send naked pictures over a PUBLIC social networking site, to multiple boys (I heard multiple names aside from Justin). As an immigrant mother who appears to be single, how do you stop your child from doing something after you've told them numerous times to not do it? Just say f*ck it?

Furthermore, some of you think that just because people support corporal punishment means they support the abuse of children, which is not the case. The mother did take it overboard, but the daughter probably did learn her lesson and will never do it again. Put yourself in the woman's shoes: your 14 year old has publicly taken nude photos and sent them around. They leaked (which is probably how she found out about them). Not only is the entire school going to see it, but now it's on the internet forever for predators to utilize and possibly target the girl. In addition, if someone posts her name on some forum with the photo, say goodbye to any chances of a career for her. The standards for men and women are different because now the guy who got her nudes is a player, and she'll probably become the attention of horny high school boys all over trying to hook up with her thinking she's an easier lay. THEN you get into the issues of the mother worrying about pregnancy, etc. which is statistically higher for ethnic minorities. There's a plethora of issues that arise from this single event, so let's not act like her committing a felony and distributing child ****ography is really "ok" when so many of you (hopefully) are completely against child ****ography, yet are completely fine with giving pedophiles and perverts fapping material?

Makes complete sense :awkney:
