Her music is extremely popular but you never hear her being talked about as much as Gaga or Rihanna or Katy Perry. Of course I think her music is something only our generation will like. So what, if she has a song like We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, it is slaying the charts right now. Have you heard her new song Ronan? Go listen to it and educated yourself. Her music style is changing and she is definitely growing up. Taylor is the same age now, that Gaga was when she released the Fame. Gaga's music (Just Dance - Boys Boys Boys) and a few others were childish songs. Not that that is a bad thing, but everyone here acts like Gaga wrote such deep and meaningful music since she came out of the womb. Anyway, it's all relative. I love Avril's music but I love Taylor's music so much more. That's MY opinion, not yours. No need to get snippy. I like both Avril and Taylor equally. However, I must be straight up in my PERSONAL viewpoint that Taylor hasn't evolved (musically, lyrically, and image-wise) as much as people think. At least she hasn't evolved as much Gaga. In my opinion, I think Avril got more flack from the general public for putting out Girlfriend than Taylor has for releasing Never Ever. Back in 2007, the public predicted Avril's downfall (which they were right). But today, people don't have that level of negativity towards Taylor. I think it's a double standard. She got more flack cuz the entire punk princess shtick got tired and no one cared, even when she went more pop. Her only good album in my opinion is and will always be Let Go.
